Astral da Ilha Pousada & Gastronomia — Restaurant in Região Geográfica Imediata de Paranaguá

The experience starts already on the mainland. You arrive, a friendly welcome smile from Bruno awaits you, you park your car at the parking lot and your worries stopped. Bruno carries all your belongings to the boat, you take the beautiful ride to the island (with some luck you can see dolphins) arrive there and they will - again - carry all your stuff to the hotel. On this island are no cars, so everything is made by foot, bikes and wagons - and the signal from your phone doesn’t work, just when it’s connected to the wifi.||We arrived at the pousada and Davi welcomed us with a special ceremony. After that they carried our luggage to our room - which is stunning! As we were getting married, we had the temple, with the special jacuzzi. We entered our room, some bubbles and an aperitif were waiting for us, and they had put some music for us. ||The other day we made a round trip around the island and had a picnic at ilha das palmas. The tour was beautiful! Suddenly the boat stopped and the owner - Guilherme - was waiting on a surfboard and two gallons of juice for us to join and manage our picnic. The picnic was marvelous, delicious fresh food and juice! On the boat we also had some soft drinks and beers. To make the day even more perfect, they brought us to the bay of de dolphins. There were so many of them. All of our wedding guests loved the trip, everything was perfectly well organized!||The beach is right around the corner of the hotel and there are chairs and parasols for the hotel guests. The waiters at the beach also don’t let you work at all, they bring the chairs needed, and as we were a big group they changed the parasols for us so we could stay together. They serve food and drinks at the beach!||The food in the restaurant is really good and the drinks are the best! Try the caipirinha from hibiscus and the Moscow mule. |One of our wedding guests (and she didn’t even stay at astral, she stay at another hotel) got an infection in her eye and had to go to a specialist on the mainland. Guilherme (the owner) organized everything.||My husband took some surf lessons with Rodrigo. He loved it and in the end he was able to take some nice waves!||And our wedding was fantastic and perfect! Everything they made was done with so much love and passion. It was an unforgettable experience which will stay in our memories for the rest of our lives! ||All the stuff is super friendly, happy and always willing to help, so that you can relax and enjoy your holiday. Her attention to detail and her enthusiasm for sharing the beauty and tranquility of Ilha do Mel truly enhanced our experience. Bruno, one of the servers, provided exemplary service throughout our stay. His attentiveness and friendliness made every meal a delightful experience. Bruno's dedication to ensuring we had everything we needed did not go unnoticed, and we greatly appreciated his kindness and professionalism.

The culinary experience at Pousada Astral was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks to the incredibly talented chef. Each dish was a masterpiece, showcasing fresh, local ingredients and inventive flavors. Dining at the pousada was a highlight of our stay, and we found ourselves eagerly anticipating each meal.

Keity, another fantastic server, added to the exceptional service we received. Her cheerful demeanor and willingness to accommodate our requests made us feel truly pampered. Keity’s ability to anticipate our needs and her commitment to making our stay perfect was remarkable.

Special mention must be made of the wonderful ladies who prepared our breakfast each morning, particularly Elza. The breakfasts were a feast for both the eyes and the palate, with a variety of delicious options to start our day. Elza and her team’s warm smiles and culinary skills ensured that we began each day on a high note.

During X-Mas, my husband, our two kids, and I went to Ilha do Mel. The island is gorgeous and the Praia de Fora is a wonderful beach for kids.||We spent three nights at Pousada Astral da Ilha. The staff was kind and tried hard to run extra miles to make us comfortable. Food was good and beach service was nice.||However, there is room for improvement.||Rooms (and bathrooms) are small and their mezzanine is very hot. There is no mosquito net on the windows (nor doors). Even with the air con and fan on, we had a hard time fighting them to be able to sleep.||The breakfast area has no net either (it's an open veranda). So, although the food was good, we had to fight against flies to eat. All in all, I think it was an...
