Pousada Praia do Farol — Hotel in Região Geográfica Imediata de Paranaguá

It was my 2nd time visiting Pousada Praia do Farol, and it was filled with such beauty! First, Ilha do Mel is an amazing tourist spot and there are a lot of things to do. Second, the hotel is perfect compliment to the island. It has amazing views and very good accommodations. Where else are surrounded by beaches on both sides my wife and I stayed in the honey moon sweet while my parents stayed the other one. They were both very cute and the island decorations enhanced our experience. Mari, the owner is extremely sweet and out going. She is easy to communicate with because she understands and speaks English. She is such an amazing cook and treats all her guests like family. The breakfast she and the other workers prepare is better than any other breakfast (filled with so many fruits, meats, cakes, fruit smoothies, etc) the hotel offers a lot of excursions (some you need to call ahead for) and it's easy to find a great time. They also have a speed boat so traveling to and from the island is easy and fast, and the hotel is centrally located on the island so it's less than 100ft to the main strip with other restaurants and stores, I would recommend this hotel and island for everyone, it was the greatest experience I ever...

We stayed at the Pousada for two nights and The place was just amazing... A wooden house fully equipped, walking distance from the beach, cozy and very comfortable. ||Here, it's all about Details. You will find in this place a respectful interaction between nature and humans, being the hosts very conscious about the importance of preserving their home in this peace of paradise. They have created different spaces, within their property, all of them surrendered by amazing trees, plants and flowers, where guest can hang out. And that was a very nice part of our stay, because it rained a bit, so even though we couldn't go for a walk we enjoyed just being there... Hanging out in a quiet and beautiful place. ||We also need the mentioned the breakfast, what a feast! From the fruits to the cakes, everything was just perfect! ||Friendly, warm and kind are the three fisrt words that come to my mind to describe all the team that takes care of the guests at the Pousada. ||I will definitely recommend the place. In the rooms of Pousada Praia do Farol there is a sign in Portuguese that starts as follows: "Here we do not worship luxury, consumerism, the hype we're used to practicing in everyday urban life... We are not moved by the idea to make money, become rich, or exploit anyone...simplicity and comfort can walk together...". These words somehow manage to encapsulate the feelings I was left with when leaving the hotel. The owners (and their dogs) clearly cherish the place, the feeling of welcome, warmth, genuinity, and the possibilities of slowness of life are evident when stepping into the place. As has been mentioned in other reviews, the breakfast outside on the shadowed patio is other-wordly - the pictures posted here are not stylised PR-shots, that is the way it looks. ||||The rooms are spartan to the bone, but perfectly functional for rest.
