Hostel Petropolis — Hotel in Região Geográfica Imediata de Petrópolis

So petropolis isn't the tourist centre that Rio is - in fact I think my boyfriend and I were about the only two English people in the whole place during our visit. However as a break from Rio and a chance to see the imperial past of the state it was a pleasant visit. Plus, at hostel petropolis we got a double room for 50 rl (about £27) a night which was a welcome break from the cramped hostel dorms of Rio! The bed was super comfortable with really soft covers that were a dream to sleep in; towels were provided and there was free wifi in the rooms. Everything was really clean and the cleaner seemed to be everpresent keeping the communal areas in check. There was a small kitchen that had everything we needed to cook each night, and the hostel was really quiet except for the traffic outside. I would recommend only staying for a night in Petropolis as you can easily see everything in a day;nonetheless it is a lovely escape from Rio and this hostel was perfect...

Hostel simplesmente sensacional. Atendimento impecável... o proprietário, Marcelo, muito atencioso para com seus hóspedes, excelente conforto, oferece um espaço recreativo com mesa de bilhar, totó, ping-pong, wi-fi gratuito, liberdade para cozinhar, possui ótima localização e proporciona fácil acesso aos pontos turísticos mais visitados e ao comércio, além de aceitar animais de estimação. São inúmeras as qualidades !! Nas minhas próximas férias pretendo voltar com certeza !! Marcelo, muito obrigado por sua recepção, atenção e hospitalidade.

(english) Hostel simply wonderful. Excellent customer service ... the owner, Marcelo, very attentive to his guests, excellent comfort, offers a recreational space with billiards, table football, table tennis, free wi-fi, freedom to cook, it has a great location and therefore provides easy access to the most visited tourist and cultural sites and commerce, besides accepting pets. There are countless qualities !! On my next vacation I plan to return for sure !!

Clean, quitte, nothing luxurious but give a rare feeling of a familly house. Nice place to stay to visit Petropolis or to start moutain tracking just outside the city. If you don't mind a 10min walk to the main points, this location will give you the opportunity to go through a nice brazilian town were people...
