We spent 8 days at Pousada Origami over New Year 2015 and were really sad we needed to leave. We had the Chalé hidro, a spacey bungalow with a nice porch to the garden and a wonderful bathroom that opens to a little garden, just a minute from the beach. We were warmly greeted by Marcos and Gal, the owners of the pousada who made us immediately feel welcome. As we got to meet the excellent and dedicated staff of this little paradise one by one during our stay, we felt more and more at home: Brabo, Manuela and Leo, who graciously took care of all our wishes, Cícera and Vilma, the wonderful cooks, Maria who kept the rooms neat, Galego the gardner, and all the others. They made our stay really special and unforgettable! ||The pousada has a very cozy common area where all meals are served, a beautiful garden with lots of trees, plants and flowers, with a path leading towards the beach. We liked its concept of offering a tranquil, warm and clean space to relax, eat and meet the few other guests, with nice, unpretentious decoration beautifully combining brazilian and japanese elements (owners' backgrounds), no superfluous infrastructure, well selected brazilian music on the background, and that oh so wonderful service. We had half pension scheme and initially had planned to go try out other restaurants in the area, but finally had all our meals at the pousada, because they were delicious, freshly prepared from scratch with local ingredients, and the ambiance at the pousada was so wonderful. ||The beach, Praia do Toque, is still relatively quiet and untouched by big tourism, offers broad strips of white sand at low tide, with warm water at knee height where one can walk to areas of reefs with little fish, and further away beautiful pools (piscinas) good for snorkeling, that can be reached by jangadas. Little pleasures that we tasted every day without hurry, a perfect place to relax, walk or ride a bike along the 12 km of beach, and forget about time... ||At New Year's Eve, the staff had organized a delicious dinner, and later we all gathered at the beach around a bonfire, with a glass of champagne and that big, white moon... Very romantic...
Read moreMy husband and I came here for a week, and it was one of the most wonderful vacations we've ever experienced. Praia do Toque is just special, particularly if you like quiet and simple beaches. Pousada Origama really put the experience over the top, though. We stayed in a beautiful and spotless bungalow near the water, and every day we opened the shutters to feel the beautiful ocean breeze. Every afternoon, we relaxed in the hammock on the front porch. The shower is just special - it's enclosed in glass, and there is a little private garden with a high wall surrounding it. ||||Marcos is one of the most generous and helpful hosts that I've ever met, and his staff are all sweet and friendly, especially Danielle. Every morning, we stuffed ourselves on a breakfast that was absolutely enormous - fresh fruit, homeade rolls, eggs, ham, cheese, grilled cheese, and tapioca. Dinner was also included in the price, and it was delicious every night. Everything was homeade.||||Out of curiosity, we visited some of the more popular and expensive pousadas around the area. None of them were as nice as Pousada Origami. Pousada Origami had more space, it felt more private, and it felt like you could settle in and feel at home there. The only difference is that some of the other pousadas had a pool, but who needs a pool when the warm ocean is only a few feet away!||||This pousada is definitely one of the best pousadas in terms of...
Read moreMy husband and I came here for a week on my birthday. We know many beaches in Brazil and Caribe, and I can assure that Praia do Toque is a really beautiful and secluded beach. In this scenario, the Pousada Origamis is an amazing experience and turned my birthday experience in a memorable honeymoon. We stayed in the bungalow do Mar, the closest to the water, and it was perfect: spotless, large, quiet, comfortable, AC and ceiling fan, cable TV, and a shower where you can see sun and stars... Everything in the pousada is perfect: cleanliness, service, food, drinks, privacy… A remarkable breakfast that you can take anytime you wish is just one of the cherry of the cake! All the staff is simply special, particularly Brabo who was charged to “take care of us”: thank you all! Although they have structure for children, I strongly recommend for couples (leave children with grandpa!! ;), to take maximum advantage of this...
