Taipa dos Milagres — Hotel in Região Geográfica Imediata de Porto Calvo-São Luís do Quitunde

I had never heard of São Miguel dos Milagres before our visit to Taipa dos Milagres. But now that I know better, I can see why this small town between Recife and Maceio is an increasingly popular tourist spot for Brazilians (and apparently Argentinians as well). The staff at Taipa dos Milagres is outstanding. We have nothing but compliments for Ellen, Lucas, Leo and the rest of the first-class team. I can be a bit snobby (particularly when it comes to what we Americans call B&Bs and the Brazilians call pousadas) but Taipa dos Milagres deserves the high ratings it has received on TripAdvisor. The property is extremely well-kept and the staff, as mentioned, amazing (Ellen is superb in taking care of her guests). The excellent breakfast is indicative of the food overall, which was far more sophisticated than one might expect in such a small community. And the view. OMG. If there's a more beautiful sight in the world than this quiet, clean beach I've yet to experience it. You don't need to do much other than to sit, chill and enjoy but, if you want more, you can take a dune buggy tour or venture out on a boat to a natural pool near the reef. I have no real suggestions for improvement for Taipa dos Milagros other than perhaps installing safes in the rooms for nervous travelers like me who don't want to drag passports with them everywhere. But that's a minor note in what was overall an extremely positive stay. We regretted immediately that we had booked only a two-night visit (we easily could have stayed many more) and we were so enchanted by São Miguel dos Milagres that we daydreamed about retiring there. Unfortunately, Powerball results have so far not cooperated with our retirement dreams and, in any event, Taipa dos Milagres has spoiled us, as we'd judge any property we saw against this stunning jewel of a pousada on the Atlantic. A PIOR POUSADA QUE JÁ ME HOSPEDEI

Primeiramente meu maior arrependimento foi fechar diretamente com a pousada e não pelo Booking.com pois assim estaria fazendo essa avaliação lá e não aqui, porém tomei essa iniciativa pois acredito que as pessoas precisam de um feedback antes de investirem seu dinheiro em algo e sair totalidade decepcionada assim como eu. O único ponto positivo da pousada foi o quarto, que era amplo e com uma boa varanda com vista pro mar. Agora vamos listar os pontos negativos: chegamos na pousada e dois funcionários estava no estacionamento, nem se sequer olharam para nós ou nos cumprimentaram. Ficamos parados feito estátuas aguardando orientações dos mesmo sobre onde era a recepção cardápio do restaurante com pratos requintados porém todos mal executado. Bife ao ponto cru, lagosta completamente salgada, camarão flambados não cachaça na verdade é camarão ao molho (e muito molho) de calda de açúcar. garçons não conhecem o cardápio, mal treinados (porém são educados e cordiais) vejo que é uma falha da administração da pousada não treinar os funcionários antes de colocá-los pra trabalhar efetivamente pousada suja e com cara de abandonada boutique ? única coisa que vi a venda foram chapeis de palha e nada mais capas de almofada mofadas tampa do vaso sanitário amarela e velha (muito velha) recepção quase sempre vazia, você passa um bom tempo sentado esperando alguém aparecer pedidos errados (pedimos caipirinha de morango veio maracujá), pedimos tapioca no café e não veio café da manhã é uma lástima. Poucas opções, deve ser escolhido no dia anterior assim como o jantar até as 18h (se passar desse horário talvez você fique sem café da manhã ou jantar)

The Taipa dos Milagres is a cozy and beautiful place in a slice of heaven. If you are looking for a incredibly relaxing and tropical experience, this is the place for you. The staff is super friendly and the place is beyond amazing. You go to the beach, which is nothing less than perfect for swimming, snorkelling or just lying on the warm sand, and then you return to a nap in a hammock by the pool with a cold beer or a sweet and iced tropical drink.
