Pousada Villa D`Amore — Hotel in Região Geográfica Imediata de Pouso Alegre

I could have not asked for a better pousada to stay in than this one. There are so many great things to say about this place, but I'm sure I will still not do it justice. The young gentlemen that helped us get settled, was also the same person who checked us in, and served our breakfast every morning. He is a true people's person. Always smiling, and showing genuine care for how you and your couple have been enjoying your time. The room was big, super clean, and with a nice fireplace that you can set fire to, whenever desired. The beds had warmers for those cold winter nights. The little stream that ran between chalets gave the impression that it was raining outside which helped us relax and enjoy a bit more rest inside our bed. The best breakfast I've ever had. And they are not cheap with the food. If you want more, they will bring more until you are completely satisfied. I will definitely be returning to this place, and although is a bit far off the main strip of Monte Verde, I actually prefer it that way! :) Definitely recommend to anyone who loves nature, quiet, and relaxing... They had WiFi available as long as you got close to the reception area, and cell phone signal is very spotty... Which actually turned out great, because technology can be very distracting and hinder you from actually enjoying your vacation. I give them 10 out 10. You will not regret...

We stayed at room 9, it's a more secluded cabin in the woods. Lots of nature. Amazing view from the tub, big, comfy room. Heated tap water, 2 heaters on the room plus 2 fireplaces - one close to the bathtub and the other close to the bed. Quen-sized bed, heated sheets. Cable TV, there's also a kettle and coffee/tea bags for you to make in the room. Amazing customer service, everyone was super polite. Breakfast was delicious, good variety of bread, cakes, home made yogurt, fruits, etc. You can also request breakfast in the cabin. 5 minutes from the city's main street. Loved the place, will...

I went with my parents in the winter season and we loved our weekend at this "pousada" which is a charm. Obviously, the cottages are an invitation to a romantic stay. But it was worth it to rest, the pure air, the green, the small stream that runs between the chalets and makes you forget the stress of the big cities. The breakfast is an attraction in itself. It is served in a restaurant with outdoor seating surrounded by flowers and hummingbirds, not to mention the chocolate truffle mousse which is offered to guests to make their stay more sweet. I...
