Pousada Zimbaúe appears to be the best option in Itaúnas, a small town about a 15 minute walk from an "over the dunes" beach contained within a state park. ||||The owner is friendly and the room rates reasonable. The breakfast (included) is average (lots of breads and cakes but no hot food). I really liked the exterior design of the two floors as well as the color schemes. The mattresses were extremely hard. The wireless Internet was terribly unstable; it seemed nearly impossible to receive a consistent signal from anywhere. There is a restaurant and a convenience store right across the street so the location is ideal.||||In most other Brazilian beach towns, I would rate the Zimbaúe a definite three star location. Read moreI was there in early October on a two-day trip with my sister. It was a cloudy and not particularly warm week and we felt like we were the only tourists in town. The people at Pousada Zimbaue nonetheless created a great environment, prepared the whole place and full breakfast and kept it impeccably clean, lent us bikes for the day, and arranged for a buggy to pick us up to visit the nearby beaches.
