Salvador Mar Hotel — Hotel in Região Geográfica Imediata de Salvador

I stayed there because it was recommended by a Congress which I attended in the Convention Center. For whom is going to attend meetings the location is good, is very near the Center and you can go by walking. But the service is not good. The breakfast is not good, juices not natural, breads and cakes tasted horribly (what is a shame, since Bahia is known from its adorable food).||When we arrived, our room had two single beds instead of a double bed as we asked (I was with my husband and 18 month-old child). They apologized but, as they didn't have other room available, they put the two beds together with a pillow-top and actually it was pretty good and comfortable.||The pool is horrible and definitely not clean. I didn't have courage to enter. The food from the restaurant is OK, but expensive for what it was. The WiFi was good, not marvelous, but functioned OK in our room. The air-conditioner a little bit noisy, but functioned well. The view was good, we could see the sea from our room (I think all rooms have this good view from the window).||We had to leave the hotel very early in the morning, so my husband made the check-out the night before, but warned we would stay in the room until 5 am. Late in the night, My husband and son were sleeping and I was finishing to pack our stuff, someone from the staff entered the room with his key (thinking it was empty) and I almost had a heart attack! I would never stay again in this hotel.||I just recommend if you have a small budget and is attending a meeting in the Convention Center (a short one). It is not near tourist attractions and the beach nearby is horrible. And by the way, the 'shopping' nearby is abandoned (I thought that it would be an option for eating at night...but nothing...

Hotel service: is pretty good. The staff doesn't speak English, we have to use google translator. They help you out with whatever you want or like, but is very difficult to communicate. Recommend learning Portuguese!! They have a lot of staff for a small hotel. ||||Food: the burger was ok.. The mineral water did not taste good, we bought bottle water from the store and drank that only. The breakfast I did not try because there were flies around so I was scared. Orange juice tasted watered down. My friends said the food wasn't all that great.||||Room: their double is America's twin size. They count how many people you have in the room. You all have to fill out a paper with your info so they know whose in the room. It's kind of ghetto and can get drafty. The cooler has a hole around it and they just put these black cushion stuff to cover it and fill the gaps. It has a moldy wet smell. When you shower the water leaks onto the floor and the bathroom door doesn't lock or close, we use a towel to hold it closed.. ||||Location: it's far from downtown which is like 30 minutes and with traffic can be an hour. Is close by a beach walking distance of 10-15 mins depending which part of the beach you want to go to. ||||Best thing about the hotel is WIFI.. Some parts of our room we got it.. Others didn't, but the lobby had a good signal.. ||||Overall it's better than a hostel and has things they def. need to fix like dripping water but it's decent enough to come back and sleep in every night.. You do get cable.. I would stay here if im on a tight budget but prefer...

Foi um ótima experiência em Salvador. Mas vamos lá,fui por um pacote de viagem CVC, já sabendo e pesquisando sobre o hotel e arredores,onde fica mais perto de tal lugar e afins,olhei vários comentários tanto positivo quanto negativo, mas vou contar minha experiência com meu namorado. Desde já sempre informam que o hotel seria 3 estrelas,e um prédio antigo,então já esperamos isso, ao chegar dia 19/04 chegamos de noite, check in top,o pessoal da recepção passou as informações todas, e prestativo caso quiséssemos algo, ficamos no 5° andar com uma vista linda,( mas não escolhemos o quarto) ao chegar já era como esperado frigobar, ar condicionado ( ele como é antigo ao refrigerar faz barulho,quem for pra dormir ligado acho que incomodaria,no meu caso de boas, quase nem foi útil) porém por ser antigo acho que deveria ter mais manutenções ou trocar mesmo,pois duas vezes na qual fomos ligar ele não ligava , havia tv com vários canais,o que deixou a desejar foi o wi-fi que não pegava nessa parte do andar, na vdd bem ruim em várias partes de lá, a cama super confortável, lençóis e coberta, disponibilizava toalha, mas eu prefiro as minhas próprias mesmo, a parte do banheiro ele é bem pequeno, o box tbm, ducha forte,único ponto que podem melhor é referente a limpeza do banheiro,sentimos falta de um cheiro de produto de limpeza, parecia que só é feito com água ou a seco a limpeza,o banheiro é antigo, o cheiro que fica é de meio antigo,a vontade era de ver e jogar uma candida ali, mas ok,não é algo assustador, somente como hóspede limpeza é algo a se zelar mais,( acho que é corte de gastos para algumas coisas kkk) mas ok, nos corredores o cheiro é de casa/prédio bem antigo, o elevador é algo tbm a se preocupar como é antigo,parecia que ia quebrar a qualquer momento, o café da manhã eu esperava mais, mas havia tudo que é necessário pra um hotel dessa maneira, havia ovos mexidos, frutas( melancia,manga, melão)molho salsinha, pães,bolos, porém acredito que pela aparência eram massento, sucos e café, a reposição era rápido até, enfim era organizado e tudo dentro desse padrão hotel 3 estrelas e prédio antigo ( corte de custo em algumas coisas) Vamos lá para localização- eu não me arrependo nenhum pouco da escolha pois havia duas opções de hotel,havia um que era em Itapuã,porém lá as coisas são mais agitadas, muita festa música alta até tarde, esse que ficamos,gente sério,eu não escutei nenhum barulho externo de música ( no meu caso gosto de ir a lugares me divertir, mas hotel é lugar de descanso e paz, esse sem dúvidas tem, percebi que é uma área um pouco afastada e só a prédios bonitões,então achei msm que não iria ter barulho incomodando) para nós que fomos e não temos carro e pedimos Uber toda hora pesou um pouquinho,mas não tantooo, a vontade era de ir de ônibus msm,economizaria muito,dali fomos a praia de Itapuã, bem movimentada, visual lindo amei, logo a frente praia de Stella Maris,sem dúvidas a melhor,grande extensão então não é tão apertada pra pessoas, agora já pro centro Pelourinho/ farol da barra,pode ser que dependendo o horário o valor é bem caro. Voltando ao hotel se forem pedir comida por fora pesquisem bem,e avaliações, tem mercado ali do lado,mas gente muito caro kkkk pra mim era de gente do money pq era absurdo kkkkk, enfim é isso, nossa experiência foi ótima ótima, somente esses pontos a melhorar de banheiro limpeza diária e elevador que deu medinho(mas tem escada óbvio) eu recomendaria sim esse hotel lembrando novamente ele é 3 estrelas, então não esperem luxo, até pq se estão a passeio e querem conhecer a cidade e praias,o hotel tem a oferecer um bom conforto na cama isso sim pra descanso,de resto vão tá pra...
