Terrible experience. I have no idea where all these good reviews come from… Maybe paid or another location??? Don’t come to Porto and stay here (yes! I’m still here and wish I had extended my stay at Village or Samoa instead of coming here for the following week).
Crowded as a state fair, this hotel makes me feel like I’m going to a stadium every single time I leave the hotel room.
Food - terrible. Drinks - always a war to be seen by the bartender. Rooms - all moldy, better you be an athlete because gosh - you will walk like never before. Going to grab breakfast and lunch makes me hit my 10k steps already (that could be the ONE and ONLY good part).
The beach? Ha! Look up how many people died right in front of here… I used to surf and couldn’t have a good time in the water.
The pools - they are great! But good luck spending all your money on a water park.
Did I mention that we spent the entirety of one day at a public hospital and the following two in our room because my five-year-old got food poisoning and/or a viral infection from the pools after our first day here?
Speaking of, there’s absolutely no customer service whatsoever. The staff are indifferent at best. We told the staff that our family is sick and we would like to take some food to go, they said we would have to wait in line for 40 minutes and then sit waiting for service before being able to take it back to the to the room.
Just an overall awful experience, save your money and go to the Village hotel or Samoa. 10 out of 10 recommend both of...
Read moreThe hotel is old and requires maintenance. It is not a 5 star hotel, I would rather give to outside facilities a low 4 star and the rooms 3 star rating. When we arrived we got a super bad room, bed was horrible, it was really dirty, the sheets were not changed, there is no words to describe. Really, really bad and disgusting. I have complained immediately but needed to wait almost 24 hours to get a new room and spend a night in this awful room. The complaint didn't seem to be a surprise for the reception, seemed a standard thing that is going on there. The new room was still in the older part of the building, but it was reasonable, painted, good bed and clean. Still old but at least clean. Room service was ok.|The facilities are good, plenty of things to do for kids if they speak Portuguese. They seemed to have a lot o fun :). |I think pools require more hygiene, it is allowed to get the drinks into the pool and then it gets spilled, people sometimes eat food at the pool bar (even though it is forbidden) and then... yeah.. imagine the rest. |Overall food is ok for three/four days, but nothing special and you will survive. The hotel has a good idea with the variety of food but the quality/taste is not that good (referring to buffet dinners) so we ended up eating one and the same thing. Pizza restaurant is really good and hamburgers were tasty. Food and ice cream was available through the day and the drinks were also super good. Very good cocktails, high quality ingredients and service at the...
Read moreI would like to recommend the Enotel Porto de Galinhas resort as an excellent choice for a holiday or vacation trip. It is located in Recife, in front of a beautiful beach. I stayed there recently and I was impressed by both the location and the quality of service.||The hotel is well prepared to fulfill all the needs of its guests in terms of comfort. One of the main attractions is its all-inclusive service. You can eat and drink as much as you like, without worrying about extra expenses. The hotel service extends to the beachfront location, meaning that you can have snacks and cocktails delivered right to your beach chair. I strongly recommend that you stay at least three days and book some mini trips in the area. My children loved to swim with colorful fish at a small beach near the hotel.||However, it is important to advise that this is a family hotel, so it’s expected to be a noisy place, and you may often hear children playing or complaining. There are plenty of activities organised for children aged four and above, which allows parents to relax while their kids are entertained. Important to notice that unfortunately it is not a cheap way to travel, especially if you don't live nearby. Considering that it is about 100 km from the airport, it could be better if the hotel could provide a transfer. I had to look for an independent service myself to reach the hotel.||In conclusion, it is a great experience to relax. You will probably return home with a few extra pounds, but...
