The only hotel to consider in Recreio...

After being in a car accident on my way from the airport to Recreio... my journey could not have started in any worse fashion.

Thank God for this amazing hotel.. as I called to explain what had happened.. the hotel immediately despatched a taxi to collect me from the scene of the accident.

The manager Rodrigo...or Roger as he will introduce himself to English speaking guests was there to meet me and check on my health as well as offering first aid...I was truly impressed.

Some reception staff can struggle a little with English... however they are genuinely helpful and as I am a guest in Brazil.. it is imperative that I also show respect by being patient and explaining myself properly.

Security is great with only hotel guests wearing handbands admitted to the elevators.

The standard rooms are a little on the small side..however the view quickly makes up for such small deficiencies... the rooms are recently renovated with a very usable bathroom and wonderful large balcony with views of the sparkling ocean.

The breakfast is good.. though lacks variety..that being said.. the food is plentiful and fresh.

As I had a number of business meetings in my time at this establishment...I had the pleasure of enjoying their lunch menu on several occasions.. this was exceptional food as well as friendly service from the courteous staff..although there are a number of upmarket restaurants close by.. this hotel had fine dining available to an extremely high standard at reasonable prices with daily specials.

The pool area is located on the top floor with expansive views of the ocean and land vista. A little crowded on weekends.. though that speaks volumes for the hotel to be so busy..

Overall...one of my favourite boutique hotels in the world..

The only negative...was that I had to leave... though I will be back...

Do not stay at this hotel. We disliked so much we left early. As soon as we got the chance of finding another reservation we left. Pictures lie. The infrastructure of the hotel in general is not as good as in pictures. Is not clean enough. Breakfast is not good. Not worth it. During our stay they were overbooked. Using the elevators was annoying, you had to wait. Using the amenities was hideous. Pool crowded, breakfast tables crowded. We were on vacation but my husband had to take an important call one day. The plan was I stayed at the room and he would go take it somewhere else. This was impossible, there was nowhere else to go at this hotel. The lobby smelled baddly, the air conditioning was not good there. Neither at the breakfast area. They had a bracelet system which was annoying and not useful at all. Anyone could ask for a bracelet at reception and be given one with no further explanation. It was uncomfortable when applying summer lotions and for tanning. The beach service its not worth it. The rooms are not clean enough. The pictures they post do not reflect reality. The only good thing at this hotel was a girl named Mariana, she was kind, and helpful.

Another thing that really bothered me was the fact that we arrived 9 am, we asked for an early check in, they said they had availability but with and extra cost of USD 130. This place was totally unreasonable. I am not saying dont charge me, I am just saying dont charge me so much. Its...

Estava enganado.

Reservei para duas noites um quarto com Vista Mar e no Check-in me designaram o quarto 811. Fiz o check-in às 17h30.

Meu quarto estava sujo.

MARCH 2025 Great hotel for the money! Service was top notch, Felipe at the front desk was an angel and helped me mail postcards after my stay. There's a spa on premises, and Bianca was a great massage therapist! The gym has personal training just talk to the front desk, and they'll help you out . Overall, everyone I've encountered was extremely helpful and more than accommodating. Beach is right across the street, and they offer you chairs/umbrella with your stay ( you should tip the staff there) The rooms could be freshened up, but honestly, there are worse rooms out there. I'd give my room a 3 star. The hotel itself is a solid 4 star based on all the other services they offer ( american standards) If you have an ocean room, it could be a little noisy with brazilain music from the beach kiosk , it's not the hotel's fault that the Brazilians know how to party ! Muito obrigado for everything, and see you soon Tip learn some portuguese it'll get you a lot further and you can make better connections on a personal level with hotel team and everyone in their country .

A lot to improve. Nobody speaks English, either Spanish, they just try Portuguese over and over again until make themselves understood, is not something you expect for the price they charge. The building is beautiful, but the service needs to change, mainly the clean one. They don't clean well and also are unorganized, they knock out door 8.30 am to make the room and we were sleeping, then they never came back and we need to call reception to ask them to do it. Also the parking is charged and with an strange system of valet parking, you can't go for your own vehicle alone. In my case I have a motorcycle and I need to be escort every time I want to take it or parking. I strongly recommend not to go on new years eve, they can't handle it well, not place in parking lots, overcrowded reception and breakfast (in a basement with a lack of everything, even plates and cups). Then they have a very nice summing pool on rooftop and beach services that's included chairs and parasol. That's a plus, also with friendly staff.
