Magnolia — Hotel in Balchik

We came here for Easter. The place is cozy, the owner is very friendly and speaks englisb well. You can get a parking place if you ask, the room was clean and warm (they waited us with the hot air conditioning opened because it was a bit cold outside). We've been welcomes with fruits. We had flat screen tv, fridge, air conditioning, wi-fi and a lovely balcony with the sea in front of us. The room is big. We received only 2 towels each and no feet towel for the bathroom floor (after you get out of the shower) which was pretty uncomfortable because the floor was very cold and some water came from down below the shower so it got pretty wet also. Maybe we should have taken some slippera with us. They offer you some tea bags and nesscafe, sugar and 2 bottles of water so you can make some tea in your room. We didn't have teaspoon or something to mix. All in all, I highly recommend this place for good price, location...

This was our first time in Bulgaria, rather as history seekers than seaside enthusiasts. The hotel has only 2 stars, but an impressive rating on booking.com and after staying there I can recommend it as a decent budget place to stay. It is very close to the sea shore with the restaurants and a 10 min walk to the beach. The host is very nice and keen to solve any problems you might encounter. Parking is available in a small street just outside the hotel entrance. Breakfast is quite poor, not worth buying it. The room has a big bed, fridge and so on but some of the furniture...

I have recently bought a house in the Balchik area. During my scouting trips in late 2015, the purchase trips in early 2016, and then a number of inspection trips over the past three months as the builders renovated my house, it's probably been about 6-7 trips totaling about 30 nights. I have chosen each time to stay at this hotel. It is excellent value for money, the location is great, the rooms are spotlessly clean, free wifi is provided, and the owner is friendly and speaks good English.
