This hotel could be amazing but it’s not. It looks pretty and smells great when you walk in but it’s not 4 star treatment.||When you complain you get a superficial standard response but they don’t care. |The Rooms are ridiculous hot! Even went you turn off the radiators, you can’t use the air con to set the room to a cooler temperature. So we’d open the window but couldn’t do this at night as it would then be freezing. Had poor nights sleep due to waking up with the heat. ||I also had a very noisy fridge, which kept me awake so got that turned off after first night sleep.||The bed lining is very starchy and scratchy on the skin till you break it in.||Breakfast is ALWAYS cold! I was there for 7 days and not once enjoyed a hot or warm cooked breakfast. |We made the mistake of going to the evening meal. It says it’s a buffet but you do not have much choice. There was 3 serving trays to pick, one being rice and then a hot plate with vegetables on. The cost for this is outrageous for what it is!! Just like breakfast, it was cold. Don’t waste your money and go and eat in a restaurant in town. ||For the money you pay I believe you could get better at some of the 3* in Bansko. ||Also, even though the website says you have Mountain View’s this is not the case for all rooms. We were lucky and did but the majority of rooms do not. So again don’t pick this hotel thinking you’ll have the best views as some are onto other rooms in the hotel. The website is very misleading and I heard a few angry people complaining about this. ||You get tea/coffee making facilities but no milk to go with it. Also it was fruit teas, would have been nice to have breakfast tea too. However with no milk, just meant i couldn’t have a hot drink in the room. Hot chocolate sachets would have also been a nice addition.||Positives- if you want to pay more you can get VIP gondola pass at the hotel. Handy in peak season but cheaper to get a taxi/mini bus up. ||Hotels put on shuttle bus to gondola. would be nice if in peak season if they could take you up the mountain. Especially for those who don’t have the VIP lift pass. I wasn’t told we could get these so brought my list pass like everyone else at Bansko. Only found out once I spoke to others I met on the slopes. Surely this info should be given when you check in. ||Location is...
Read moreWorst experience I ever had at a 4 star hotel.
We had a reservation for 4 rooms.
We arrived at 11 o’clock at the hotel and they told us that the check in can not be made before 3 o’clock (we had a one year old with us). We understood and went out for a walk and food.
Coming back at around 2 o’clock, I received a room that had the doors from the balcony and from the bathroom broken (and when I say broken I mean that they couldn’t be closed). The noise in the room was constant and loud from the ventilation from the restaurant (which was near the room and was also bringing in the smell from the kitchen). There was hair on the floor in the bathroom and make up marks on the toilet table. I have requested for the room to be changed and they have proposed a downgrade from what I have payed (smaller room, with less storage space). When I told them I can not accept such room considering that I payed for a deluxe one, the staff arrogantly scolded me and asking whether I want to see all the rooms in the hotel before choosing one, only to suggest that I should accept what they offered. Meanwhile my parents and friends did not get their room even though the clock was past 3 o’clock. At around 6 o’clock I received a functional room that had nothing broken in it.
The cleaning of the rooms was mediocre, below expectations, the carpets were stained and poorly vacumed.
Furthermore, they had a shuttle bus that had an unusual schedule meaning that the last one in the morning was leaving at 10:00 AM (so no late mornings for the guests) and the last one returning from the gondola, at 5:00 PM. As someone who comes to Bansko for more that 10 years, I never seen such strict, unacommodating schedule. Perhaps, something has changed.
Another day, the receptionist called me to bring my id because they forgot to register me and when I got there he asked for my husband’s id also.
The kids room floor was always dirty (not messy, dirty). I cleaned the tables my self with wet wipes and I was shocked by how black the wipe was at the end of the process.
We have also booked the New Year’s dinner at “La Terazza” which was extremely rushed and no drinks included (not even water). They served us all 5 meals in less than 3 hours, so we couldn’t enjoy them since we were full. The food was really...

My recent stay at the Sheraton Four Points Bansko was nothing short of fantastic. From the moment I stepped into the gorgeously decorated lobby—a serene oasis perfect for unwinding with a drink or snack—I knew this hotel was something special. The design throughout the property is impeccable, blending modern comfort with a cozy, inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.
Amenities & Facilities The hotel’s amenities are top-notch. The pool, sauna, and steam room were immaculate, well-maintained, and provided the perfect escape after a day of exploring Bansko. The rooms themselves are spacious and thoughtfully designed, featuring sleek decor, plush bedding, and a huge TV that added to the comfort.
Staff & Service The staff truly shines here. Everyone, from the front desk to the pool attendants, was warm, professional, and eager to assist. A special shoutout to the restaurant team—their attentiveness and kindness elevated the dining experience. Though I didn’t catch their names, their dedication didn’t go unnoticed!
Dining Experience Speaking of dining, the food was a highlight. Breakfast and dinner buffets offered a fresh, diverse spread with something for every palate. Quality and variety were consistently impressive, making every meal something to look forward to.
Housekeeping Hiccup The only downside was the inconsistency with housekeeping. Despite the room’s initial charm, it went nearly three days without proper servicing. When I inquired, a front desk staff member mentioned rooms are cleaned “up to 5 PM,” which felt like a miscommunication or a policy gap. While this didn’t ruin my stay, it’s an area the hotel could improve to match its otherwise high standards.
Final Thoughts Would I return? Absolutely. The Sheraton Four Points Bansko delivers a luxurious, relaxing experience with standout service and facilities. With a slight tweak to housekeeping protocols, this hotel could easily earn a flawless rating. If you’re planning a trip to Bansko, don’t hesitate to book here—it’s a gem that’s well worth it!
