I stayed last weekend in a studio at Pirin Place Hotel. Well furnished, new equipment, comfortable bathroom, clean and very spacious, Sat TV.... It is just across the starting point of the Gondola station that takes you to the slopes. GREAT and superb location to access the gondola on foot (less than 2 minutes). the only place in Bansko that is closer to the gondola station is Kempinski Hotel (again, just across the pirin Place Hotel. On the down side are the facts that the studio is heated with electric panels that in extreme colds (such those of last weekend January 23rd-24th) are not enough to provide suitable room temperature during the night; common areas are not heated (although they are also equipped with electric panel heaters - turned off, though); no private parking, no Wi-Fi. Of course, as on many places in Bulgaria, you can not expect that the stuff will be very polite and kind, but at least they are not rude like in Maraya hotel in Bansko, for example). The doorman that was on a night shift was very pleasant and tried to fix the problem with the satellite TV. No reception service, no handyman, no cleaning after 5pm. But, again great location and very good value...

Read more1 star is too much for this place, quite frankly the most abysmal place I have ever had the misfortune of staying in. ||We arrived to find a dirty apartment with many broken fixtures and fittings. The door handle to the balcony was broken, so we couldn’t secure the apartment. ||I liaised with the property before hand to make sure it was suitable for 4 adults and 2 children. I was assured it was. The sofa bed in the living room was completely broken and you couldn’t even sit on it let alone sleep on it without being folded in half. So 2 adults had to sleep on the floor all week. ||Multiple attempts to contact the host were made, and she completely disregarded everything I said. I managed to speak to her on the phone once and she assured me someone was on the way to the property to help with our issues, and they never arrived. ||The most horrendous holiday ever. ||Do yourself a favour and DO NOT BOOK. We would have been better off staying in a broken tent on the side of the piste. It would have been far more...
