My vacation was ruined…
There was no: toilette paper bed sheets private entrance as claimed pillow cases no kitchen towel or at least some paper towels.
of course having a shampoo, soap for dish washing or washing machine would be too luxurious for this place…
but! there was: a parking just behind the „terrace“ (so that everyone looks at you as they park) not very clean and not ironed at all duvet covers (which were layered on the bed to simulate bed sheets) there were 2 towels for two people, one of which we used as a pillow cover…
The thing that disappointed us the most is the attitude of the hosts. As we said that we are not satisfied with the apartment, we were told that they will give us a full refund. I claimed it via Booking com—waited for 2 days—and they rejected it… So I had to stay 3 nights there. They were not picking the phone, I had to call 8 times to have an answer, one day the reception guy just hung up on me, when I called back, he said: „sorry, I have some very urgent thing to do, I‘ll get back to you soon“. of course he never called me back.
Please keep in mind that as soon as you book your room, they will send you an email, that you have to take keys yourself in their central office on Sunny Beach.
After unsuccessful attempt to call them, I came to their office. The lady that was there when I first came to take my keys was very polite. Although she told me as we arrived that there is a washing machine in the apartment, there was no… Anyways I asked why they rejected to give my money back. I received an answer „you were told“. At the same time I haven’t receive no official answer from them via booking com. I called booking com many times and they said that they do not have their reason as well. After I asked to talk to a manager or to the head of the office, the polite lady said to wait and went to the small room to the left. she came back and said that her manager (Attention!) doesn’t want to talk to me!!!! I stayed there for at least 1,5 hours to get in touch with the manager—after repeating the loop 4 times (the lady went to the small room 4 times to call the manager and came back with the same answer — our managers are „not willing to talk to the clients“!) the manager came. She offered my to get back 50% of the amount for the days I didn’t stay in the apartment. She never said sorry for me having no bed sheets and never explained why no one brought me toilette paper after 4 nights of staying in this apartment.
the cherry on top: We had our sink in the toilette broken. On the third day without knocking on our door and without calling in advance, a man enters our apartment just in the middle of pur dinner and happily says: I am here to fix whatever is broken here!
I hope that no one will be ever deceived so disrespectful by Menada...
Read moreThe first thing we found was a wastebasket that welcomed us. At night, we went to get a pillow and I told them how clean it was, but there were no pillowcases either. The refrigerator wasn't cooling because it was full of frost. We tried to remove some but it was impossible; we had to defrost it. The shower was as simple as inserting the correct-sized hose, which wouldn't hold up to anything so you could shower. I passed along a note asking them to please fix it, and they finally replied that they could come on the last day to fix it, but with the remaining day still there, they wouldn't solve anything for us. The shower was cracked and water was leaking, and you had to clean it up after every shower. The light bulbs in the kitchen and bathroom stopped working. We could see a glass from the previous visitor under the sofa, and we didn't want to look at anything else... We went to use the cutlery, and not only were they in bad condition, they were dirty. There's no sheet to cover the mattress. They put a sheet that isn't big enough to even cover the entire surface, which moves around, and you end up sleeping without sheets in the sweat of the previous visitor. The mattress is quite thin and uncomfortable. The terrace table is in very poor condition. The apartment smelled of tobacco. We were told it was a problem with the air conditioning vent, but I think people smoked inside the apartment without any problem because the towels we used to dry ourselves also...
Read moreThis was definitely the worst apartment I have ever rented. We left right after the first night and 2 days after I still haven't received the refund they promised. They claim to have conducted the refunds, but my bank said that I won't receive my refunds because there was any mistake when they conducted the transaction. Even though they talked personally to the customer support of my bank on a loudspeaker by my phone and the bank operator said what their mistake was, they declined to conduct the refund again and told me just to wait.
These were the most significant problems in the apartment that made us leave:
a night lamp started producing smoke at around 5 am in the morning; mosquitos and lack of mosquito protection of the windows; ants that attacked our dog's specialized food; spider webs with living spiders at the corners of the ceiling; fridge that was in a kitchen shelf (which made it heat); The electricity was twice cut off for seconds; TV with a very bad picture and only two channels; broken blinds that made the morning sunlight prevent us from sleeping; the matress was really very firm which made sleeping nearly impossible; we needed to clean everything on our own...
