Hotel Globus — Hotel in Plovdiv

I stayed in room 205 on June 4, 2011. The room was really tiny but that is not the problem. The problems were more than one: the fridge did not work. All drinks were hot. I asked front desk to repair it and was told " We do not have maintenance person availbale full time." The web site advertises a SPA but the front desk told me it is no longer available.The room carpet was stained and terrible dirty. The worst part was the bed and the linens. I took the bed cover off and found 5 long black hairs. That really did it. I do not recommend this disgusting place to anyone. Stay away and do not...

Bulgarian hotels cannot be compared fairly with Western European ones. So the double rooms will be a little disappointing. The furnishings and equipment will not be modern. Having said that, the room was clean and warm (December). The water was hot and the shower facilites good. The walls are rather thin. And smoking rooms are more common here. My guess is that the rooms in the main hotel are rather better - our room was in the annexe. Having said that, the service was always good and friendly and in English. Very pretty hotel, clean rooms, lots of mirrors, a little balcony. There is a dryer in the bathroom, TV and a fridge. Its close to the mall and 15-20 minutes walking to Aliosha. Everything you would wish for a little vacation in Plovdiv. The centre is not very close - 5-10 minutes with a car, but not uncomfortably far. The staff was polite. Thank you...
