The hotel was under renovations when I booked and I was not notified. I was not able to roll my luggage from the entry to the elevator, which would not have been an issue except I was never offered any assistance from the desk staff. In and out, with each piece no one ever offered assistance, over electrical cord or inconsistent flooring. The staff was friendly and nice otherwise.||The room was perfect for my needs, with a few exceptions. A previous user’s shampoo was still left opened in the shower area and there were no floor towels provided. Indeed I nearly broke my ankle in the bathroom one evening because the floor is very slippery and only two hand and body towels were provided. I also had to personally correct a drainage issue in which my toilet operating pushed water onto the floor, by correcting the collar behind the toilet to be flush with the line. ||The location of the hotel is nice if you don’t wish to see the best parts of Plovdiv and to listen to the whirring and rumbling of the go kart track across the street. That’s my fault because I booked without knowing but if you’re looking to be close to the history of the city then this is not the place for you.||The spa and sauna were excellent, and I would stay again just for that. Also the restaurant was good and the simple pasta meal I enjoyed was one of the best I enjoyed in Plovdiv over my four day stay. ||Also one evening I ventured to the old city for dinner and the hotel desk called for me a taxi and she was...
Read moreExtremely poor experience. Dirty rooms, a condom packaging underneath our bed. Spider webs in the corners, old and dirty mattresses. The bathroom ventilation was not working, which is not very nice. The only way heating the room was with a traditional air conditioner. Which means you have to choose to wake up as an icicle or with a sore throat from it drying up the air in the quite tight room. The staff was polite but other than it was all a disaster. The food was absolutely awful. We were here on New Years eve. We each got 2,3 pieces of cold meat with sauce and 3 pieces of macaroni and sauce for our “main dish”. The part of the restaurant where we were seated did not have any speakers nearby. So we just sat and listened to the music coming from the other part. Completely ruined our New Years eve. When we asked the DJ to turn up the music, he refused and said that the owner of the Hotel does not allow it. Almost all of the plates were dirty, both at dinner and breakfast. We had to wait for the breakfast table to be refilled for 20 minutes, because the kitchen was obviously not suitable for cooking for that many people (around 50-60) and again the breakfast was very bland and just not good. To finish it off there are almost no anti COVID measures taken. The staff does not wear masks, upon arrival they do not ask guests for their green certificates which is absurd. Absolutely do not recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and go...
Read moreIt all depends on your standards but I've read a review saying that the hotel entrance gives you a feeling that it's quite luxurious or classy yet when you enter the room it's like an expensive motel look and I completrly agree with this description.
They have minibar, which obviously makes noise at night because the refrigerator isn't properly covered with a wardrobe door or somwthing. The kettle in my room doesn't work. The matresses arent covered properly with a full matress cover. They are made of springs and they are not so comfortable.
The bathroom is shawer and bathroom together, no door separation whatsoever, it reminded me to an asian bathroom.
The breakfast buffet is absolutely awful, no good coffe or way to prepare it decently unless you pay for it. The hot "area" is always cold at 9am, everything is cold at that time. There's no microwave to at least heat the food... simply not nice at all!! Also the scrambled eggs serm to have cheese so be careful because there's no warning for lactose intolerant/alergic people.
The restaurant, on the other hand, is quite good, variety of the dishes is wide, greek cuisine seems to fill the options in the menu. Grilled vegetables had the flavour of being made at a decent barbaqueue.
The TV in the room are not HD, they also have almost no channel with English...
