I stayed in Hotel Grand for three nights in September, which is an out of season month in the Rila Mountains. The Hotel was chosen by my mountain travel agency, as I was in Bulgaria on a mountain hiking tour.||||Grand Hotel meets basic tourist standards for sure. It's very clean, yet lacks individual style. The hotel looks a bit like hotels that were common in the commie times.||||I had a double room. The bed was comfortable, WIFI worked perfectly, but the fridge was out of order. I enjoyed the view from the window - swimming pool and The Rila Mountains in the background. The room had a pretty large balcony, where I could sit and enjoy the view.||||The food that we were served for breakfast and dinner was typical of Bulgarian Cuisine. Actually, I got the impression that I was served hommade food, rather than restaurant-made food. However, they had very good coffee and its price at the bar was less than one euro for a double espresso.||||Grand Hotel is located near housing estates with large apartment buildings and supermarkets, so its surrounding is rather unappealing.||||Overall, I can recommend the hotel for tourists who travel on budget and are looking for accomodation that meets...

The staff doesn't have basic knowledge of treating a customer. When 4 people sit on a table they need 4 menus, not 1. When I asked for a menu for each of my friends the waitress rolled her eyes. The restaurant have a big number of plates and the food is tasty. The only reason i give 4 star is because the service of the restaurant was so poor. They were hired some children at 16 years of age and we were big company about 30 people. It was just impossible for the young servers to manage with us.
