Doctor's House Guest House Sozopol — Hotel in Sozopol

Unfortunately the restaurant of this place became our personal HORROR HOUSE. We had a dinner which turned into an absolute nightmare because of one of their waiters. Unfriendly, rude and nervous service, dirty plates left by my shoulder so that the waiter can pour wine to other guests... Unacceptable.. Once we've paid our bill this waiter came and asked back for the receipt?!?! so that he can check if we have left the correct amount of money!?!? However, he didn't check a thing but disappeared with the receipt and the money... We were waiting for five minutes to get our change back (we didn't want to leave a tip to this rude person) but he never came back. Then we asked for the manager and complained about the service we've received. Please note that the manager had to call the waiter and ask him to give us back the receipt!!! However the waiter didn't give back our change!!! I have sent a notice to the local taxation authorities and I hope they will investigate this matter... Furthermore my wife forgot her sunglasses on the table because all this hassle... Guess what... We never got them back.. This waiter, most probably, stole not just our change, but a pair of expensive sunglasses as well! We will never go back to this place and would recommend to everyone to AVOID AVOID this restaurant! However, I must mention another waiter - Atanas. He was nice and smiling, not like the other person. Also, the manager tried to help but there wasn't much to be done.. Another nice person there was the hostess that is welcoming the guests. She was a really lovely lady. The food was good and came in large portions, but definitely not worthy if it comes with the rude service, like in...

RESTAURANT:Slow service,very long waiting time for the food. The food is not brought together and you are not warned if a diwh will take longer to deliver. The ribs we ordered came half an hour after the other dishes,so 3 people wlhad to sit with empty plates while 1 eats in akward discomfort. What made things worst is that, when we made a remark about all of this, the waiter was arrogant and passive aggressive. The only reason I don't give 1 star is that the food itself was very good. 😊: We loved everything about our holiday: warm, welcoming hosts, beautiful house typical of the local architecture, picture-perfect scenery. The view from the balcony is breath-taking. The house is in the quietest part of the old town, right on the coast, above the ruins of an ancient wall. You can hear the waves and see St. Ivan Island from the room. The size of the studio is just right for a group of four people. There is a small bathroom adjacent to the studio and an extra, bigger bathroom just down the hall - useful for groups of this size.
