The Bulgarian name of the hotel "Morski Briag" means "Sea Shore". It is a very appropriate name as this hotel lies where the waves meet the rocky shore. The place is a romantic spot on the seaside in Golden Sands, Varna.||||It is a family-owened hotel built rock by rock by its owners who imagined the building and brought it to life putting together the stones they took out from the sea. The owners are vey nice and they ensure permanent good service in the hotel.||||Morski Briag is cosy, quiet, offering a decent breakfast. We occupied a qvadruple room with very comfortable beds. Adding the permanent sound of the waves, we enjoyed an excellent sleep.||||For our children the stay was a little bit boring as the surroundings do not offer any playgrounds and the beach in front of the hotel is narrow and rocky.||The about 100 steps that link different parts and levels of the hotel have to be climbed several times a day when going to the beach, to breakfast, to the room, to the restaurant for lunch.||||Wi-fi is available only in some spots.||||The food in the restaurant is good, and quickly served. Breakfast is normal and simple. The view over the sea is magnific.||||The hotel does not have a parking place, we were told to park at Strandja hotel (4 leva/ day).||||The access to the hotel from the main road is not at all marked and it consists of quite a number of stairs that lead to the upper level of the hotel. It is challenging to go there with all the luggage but there is no other way.||||Morski Briag is flanked by two big Russian hotels, one of them being still under construction. In this landscape, the hotel is a small corner of paradise.||||I recommend Morski Briag hotel for a relaxing stay nearby the sea for middle age people without kids and not so much luggage, wanting to enjoy the sea without spending...
Read moreThere are pros and cons but the good things are definitely more than the bad.||||The location it's amazing. I could not emphasize enough how great it is to wake up in the morning, go down a few stairs and step on the sand, then stay on the beach until it's dark, order food or drinks and have them a few steps from the sea.||The view from the restaurant and from the rooms it's really nice.||||Beach||The small beach is really nice and it was never to crowded.||The beach is only for umbrellas, but there are sunbeds on a terrace , a few steps up. I wish the sunbeds had some kind of pillows to make them a little more comfortable.||||Location||The location of the hotel it's indeed kind of remote. Going up and down those stairs it's not a pleasure. We stayed for 5 nights and left only once. ||||Food||The food was ok, but no thrills. There aren't to many options, but I was perfectly happy with eating grilled fish with grilled vegetables for a few days in a row.||The location and the layout oh the restaurant/bar is nice. The kids were happy to stay on the sand until the meal was ready. ||||Rooms|| I must say that the rooms are outdated, the furniture is kind of old and overall they would need some renovations.||||Nearby hotel||There is a huge, luxury hotel surrounding Morski. The hotel has it's own private beach that is very small, compared to the dimension of the complex.||||Stones in the water||I knew about them so it's not fair to complain about the rocky sea bottom.||||Overall we had a...
Read moreAll rooms have sea side view. We stayed 7 nights here at the end of August 2017 at the second floor in a BIG room. The waves were breaking just under our balcony. The sound was incredible... One night our two years old son asked around 3 or 4 o'clock in the morning : "Can you, daddy, turn of that wave breaking sound?"... I just closed the window so he could sleep further. Food was exactly on our taste. Breakfast was till 10:00 and lunch we took between 13 and 14. It is not an "all-inclusive" location but you can order many things... I would definitely not recommend the location to people who cannot use stairs (handicaped people) which was not our case. There is no elevator and from the hotel to the street there are a lot of stairs. The hotel is located some 2Km / 1.2 miles from the center but there are small shops nearby if you really need something. An aquapark is some 5km away. It is not big but worths an afternoon there. The hotel has its own beach where you can leave your stuff while eating on the terase: you'll be some 3-5 meters away from them and it's not a crowded beach. It is also very clean there. The owners are very helpfull. The beach is with sand. There is a 2-3 meters area in the water where you have to take care because is with rounded stones. After you passed over it you'll find again sand under your feet. All in all it was a great experience and we'll return here. Thank you, Morski Brag owners. Oana, Tudor,...
