Hotel Sorbona — Hotel in Varna

Before you read negative comments regarding this hotel you must realise first and foremost that it is a budget hotel and the price is cheap for what you get. It is a no frills solution to staying in Varna so there is nothing extravagant. However, what you do get is a practical, clean, safe and inexpensive solution to a stay in this wonderful city. I knew before I travelled here that access to the centre of Varna was going to be a taxi ride every day and that taxis are plentiful and cheap - be aware of this. The hotel's location should not put you off unless you just want to walk to the centre every day - something which is not possible. Service in this hotel I found excellent with Gabi being the best of the team and her helpful attitude was really amazing. ||||Be aware that the breakfast is extra and it is basic - however it is still a breakfast you can enjoy every day.||||The only real negative comment I can make about the hotel is poor soundproofing. You can hear your neighbours pull the toilet flush or making loud conversation but apart from this the stay was pleasant. Also, the Wi-Fi is not particularly amazing and struggles to offer any service at times. The description states that there is a phone in your room but you will not get a phone. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. It isn't big and it doesn't have spa and gym, it's only a two star hotel after all. But it's cheap and well kept. The staff are kind and welcoming and the rooms are clean. I can't stress this enough, the room, the sheets, the towels, the cups, the floor everything was clean. The hotel for 2 stars hotel it’s not really nice. If you getting friendly with the staff, after 2-3 days staying in the hotel staff will not go to your room to clean it, to change the bin, just nothing. I had complain the cleaning staffing to their managers but nothing improved unfortunately. They never apologise nothing just really not happy...
