Elena Hotel — Hotel in Veliko Tarnovo

It is a nice small family run hotel (~8 rooms) with a small restaurant. You will see on booking it has 3 stars, but in reality only 1 (local classification). From experience I would say it fits in the middle - 2 stars hotel. If I would rate it as 3 stars I would say is not so good, but as a 1-2 stars it is enjoyable.||The location, overlooking Veliko Tarnovo is excellent (the main reason we chose it). ||The room is big enough (small for 3 stars), but the finishes materials are not so good (carpet, ceramic tiles). No fridge in the room, if you need to put something at cold leave them in the restaurant's refrigerators. The balcony offers you a beautiful view. The bath doesn't have a shower cabin (it is directly on the floor, could be nice with better tiles but definitely needs a glass divider so as not to wet the toilet).||The restaurant is ok, small with decent food. The breakfast was not so great (boiled eggs a day before easter, instant coffe).||The courtyard is very nice, with grass and flowers, and it is closed from the street so you could let your child play without worries.||The stuff is very nice and welcoming, makes you feel very good.||||Overall a nice experience, I would recommend this hotel, but don't expect the comfort and quality...

We stayed a lovely room with a balcony and a brilliant view for 6 days in June. The staff were so welcoming, helpful and fluent in English that it made us feel really at home in a country where we don't speak the language. The only downside was the shortage of coat hangers but that was rectified within minutes when we mentioned it to the receptionist. The hotel restaurant was so good that we didn't need to go elsewhere for evening meals and staff went out of their way to make sure we had different breakfast choices each day. We enjoyed our stay so much that I've just emailed them to book again for 2 weeks later in the year. IWe would definitely recommend trying this hotel to anyone...

We’ve booked 2 rooms for weekend in June 2022. We couldn’t enjoy our trip, because the father of the child who should be with us, didn’t want to sign the papers to take the child out side the country. We notified the hotel about this situation, asking for understanding and full refund of the payment. We didn’t receive any answer from the hotel for 3 days and 2 emails. But they withdrew our money before the time we announced as arrival time. They took our money with no answer or...
