Arrived at 9pm, and was happy to find my booked room still there for me (I called at 6pm to reconfirm when leaving Phnom Penh by car - due to road construction on National Rd 6, the trip took 3 hours). Since no restaurants were open close by, the hotel offered to order local fried rice and have it delivered. About 30 minutes later it arrived and only cost $4 for 2 servings with the delivery.||||I was surprised that since I booked an air-con room for $15, they actually turned the aircon on before arrival so the room was cold. Elevators worked fine. The room was clean with basic amenities such as TV and hot water. No water kettle, but a small tray had 2 bottles of water and glasses. No toilet paper, but since I've lived in Cambodia for 6 years, I came prepared with toilet paper and bug spray (which I gladly didn't need to use). They did provide tooth brushes, a little package of soap and one packet of shampoo. There were 2 bath towels, but no wash cloth or hand towels (normal for Cambodia).||||My biggest problem was getting there - only because there was no map on Trip Advisor and they don't have a website. A different travel site showed a map - but the location was actually Mittapheap Hotel across town. It was easy enough to roll down the window and ask locals for directions. A real map of the location would have been helpful and I could have driven...

The staff didn't speak much English but were as friendly & helpful as they could be despite the language barrier.|I thought for $6/ night it was absolutely amazing value & enjoyed a really comfortable stay here. An intended one night stop turned into a 3 night stop not least having such a nice room...
Read moreWe only spent a couple of nights here and that was just as well. We had at least one rat which was in our room and 2 others had similar! Our WC didn't flush properly and kept coming up with other peoples excretia. A horrible smell. It is probably the largest hotel in "town" and the others are supposed to be worse! We would not stay here again unless there was no alternative and as we probably won't be going back to Cambodia that is unlikely!||||The problem in in Cambodia outside the main towns is that the hotels are well below par.||||Sorry not...
