Pod Village by Independence Hotel — Hotel in Khaet Preah Sihanouk

The pod village is located in independence hotel area but is a little far from the reception, but they provide transportation when you are too tired to walk or just don't want to. The breakfast was pretty good, there is also a restaurant in the hotel area. The food os good, but nothing special. the swimming pool is nice, but can get pretty crowded. I think if they let people from outside to come to pool they should at least demand them to wear normal swimming suits not just dark color underwear. The beach is a bit further than the pool. Is mostly sandy, although there are some huge rocks as well. And probably the water from the hotel laundry is spilled into the sea and because of that there is some bad smell sometimes and even once there was something like foam. Staying in the Pods is definitely an experience. The property is huge. There are lots of amenities and restaurants to enjoy. The food is GOOD. We are at the Sunset restaurant on the beach and room service. Very good. Breakfast was ok. We had a great time on the beach. We were there all day. There’s towels and you can order drinks. The public beach is beside the property. The only damper on our experience was several (3 separate) Chinese guests (we know bc we live in China and speak Chinese) chose to start recording us and staring at the infinity pool. It almost ruined a very enjoyable day on the beach. Overall it was a good stay, and I would recommend that property. Other guests should be more considerate...

We enjoyed a lot our stay in this hotel. The Pool with the view to the sea is just amazing! breakfast buffet was very big with a huge variety of delicious dishes. The Hotel has a private beach with beach lounger and towels whiche are for free for the hotel guests. It has also it's own restaurant with the most beautiful sunset sea view of Sihanoukville. There is also a very romantic walking road along the beach leading to the pool.Hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. They gave us an upgrade into a bigger room for very reasonable price and helped us with all requirements we had with high enthusiasm. Many Thanks to the hotel team, you are the best!! Happy...
