Such a beautiful resort, clean beach and air conditioned bungalows! The food and service were great and the staff all so friendly. The cocktails were also good - especially the mango daiquiri! There was a happy hour too We stayed in a bungalow in the third row, and had no issues with construction noise. If you can I would definitely suggest a beach front villa as they looked amazing. I would also recommend hiring a scooter at $15 for the day to explore the island. Pagoda beach where the resort is was lovely but long beach was also amazing. We got the ferry from kampot to longset pier where we then got a tuk tuk for $10 to the hotel. There is also the option for a boat from Sihanoukville straight to pagoda pier which the resort can organise. There would only be a couple of minor comments that I had: 1) the shower is right in the middle of the bathroom / wetroom so following a shower everything was quite wet and slippy 2) there was a gap above the door, surprisingly we didn’t have an issue with bugs but it seemed a waste of energy keeping the room cool

Horrible experience !!!!

We spent 3 nights at Sweet Dreams Koh Rong near Pagoda Beach (where survivor was filmed if you didn't know?) We stayed in a 2 bedroom beach Villa which was well kept. The only downsides were a slightly hard bed and the bathroom did smell a little bit of drain at times but went away when you ran the water and closed the door. Those two slight negatives are well worth the experience on the island and are minor considering the island is still very undeveloped. The staff were really attentive and contribute to a laid back atmosphere. Everything you buy is added to your tab and you pay at the end, the bill we were presented with was spot on and had no surprises! The pool is a phenomenal infinity pool overlooking the beach. As for the beach itself it is a lovely Sandy Beach and the hotel has paddle boards for free if that takes your fancy. Finally because the resort isn't yet well served' by ferries the hotel will give you a free transfer over to another local Beach where there is a greater choice of ferries.

Sweet Dreams Resort is one of the most beautiful resorts in the whole Cambodia, not only on Koh Rong. We stayed at the bungalow with the sea view for 6 nights, and the experience was awesome. Windows are darkened and like a mirror from the outside, so no one can see what's inside, but after sunset, when the lights are turned on, the curtains need to cover windows as the inside is visible from the outside.|The beach is beautiful, peaceful, and clean. Sometimes, the sea throws some rubbish on the sand, but the resort's staff works very hard to keep the whole place clean. There are sunbeds and umbrellas for guests, not only on the beach but also in the pool next to bungalows. |Very nice touch: the bungalow will be cleaned only on request. It saves energy and water but also the resort's employees' time. |The owner of Sweet Dreams - Dmitry is open, chatty, and friendly. Always finds time to speak to his guests, welcomes them personally at their arrival, he recommends them activities on the island, he shares his experiences on living here, and some interesting facts about Cambodia and Koh Rong. We felt very welcomed and nice.||The resort is placed on the quiet part of the island, so there is not much to do after sunset. I recommend renting the scooter right after arriving on the island and walking off the pier because everything is far away. |Scooters are the best way of exploring the island. The resort provides it for 20 or 25$ a day, but you can get it on pier for 10 - 13$.|Taxi from/to the pier is 5$. ||The restaurant doesn't have real vegetarian options. Vegan options are almost impossible to get. The staff says it's not a problem and they can prepare some vegetarian food but every time I came for a meal and asked for it, it was hard to explain to them what I needed. I think that in the resort like this, for the price guests pay and considering that people from around the world come there and they have different backgrounds, religions and diets, vegetarian and vegan it would be good for vegetarian and vegan options to be in the menu. And for real, prepared on pans where meat, fish, or seafood was not cooked before and marked on the menu as vegetarian/vegan. Fried noodles and rice with a very small amount of vegetables are not a good deal. There was only one restaurant on the whole island where I could eat proper vegetarian food.||Excluding the owner, only 3 employees spoke communicative English, and it was hard to communicate with other employees sometimes, but overall, we could communicate with everyone with no issues. 🙂||If you plan to stay at any place on the island, not only in the resort, make sure to have some mosquito repellent with you. You can also buy it at the reception.||WiFi is strong, especially in the restaurant. In some places in the bungalow, it was slow or even didn't work, but overall, the Internet connection was good.||Bungalows are clean and fully equipped, the air-conditioning is truly a blessing. We didn't have a safe in our bungalow.|I really appreciated that the bottled water for guests was free.|The resort organizes additional attractions for its guests, e.q. one day, the massaging lady was invited, and guests could get a massage for additional money. The other day there was a snoring trip, swimming with plankton after sunset and the other evening, my husband and I were suprised with the specially prepared table on the beach with the dinner only for us, with candles, plates full of seafood and grilled meat. And even tho I'm a vegetarian, so I don't eat meat, including seafood, we were so touched that I really couldn't say a word. My husband was happy as I ate all his vegetables and he had a second portion of seafood for himself. 😂 We felt so appreciated and so special, it was so nice of the owner and the resort's staff that I almost cried from happiness, I was very touched. Thank you, Dimitry, and thank you the whole Sweet Dreams! ❤️||I fully recommend the Sweet Dreams Resort for everyone who looks for a quiet, peaceful place to rest properly and to hide from the world and for people who value nice aesthetics and tidiness. My husband and I have a very busy life, so Sweet Dreams Resort was like a paradise for us, and we will be back...
