Beaverlodge Motor Inn — Hotel in Alberta

The room was old and dirty, not like it hadn't been cleaned, but more so like it needs a total remodel. WiFi was pretty much non existent, the mattress felt old and outdated and the room felt like the desert.

Update Was forced to stay here again and figured I'd update my review with my most recent week long stay. This new rooms mattress is far worse then the one I had last time, my back aches everyday I wake up. My back pain is soon forgotten though as my neck can barely move compliments​ of the paper thin pillows that literally offer no support. So far 4/5 days the towels I've received have still been dirty (posted a picture with my review) and today exciting the shower I discovered the fan in the bathroom hadn't been cleaned in what I can only assume has been years (also posted a picture). But those concerns quickly faded as I laid in bed scratching my entire body in an attempt to sooth then incredible itching I had all over my body as I lay on the concrete bed with 2 pillows shoved under my head in hopes my neck would function the next morning. The staff is incredibly friendly but don't seem much concerned. There is not much for lodging options in this town but I'd rather stay in Grande Prairie, pay twice as much and have to travel...

Absolutely Appalling and worst customer service Ever!! |I called and asked for a pet friendly room and was told that yes there was one available. Arrived at the motel at 11pm to check in and again confirmed it was for a pet friendly room, she rang me through. I asked which door that I could bring my dogs in and she said “the side door”.|Got my stuff walked into the hotel room with dogs and the SMELL was like Death. |My cell instantly started ringing and the room phone and it was the front desk calling to ask “do you have pet with you, that’s not a pet room and you need to pay for pet”||Absolutely APPALLING!!!!||While I was checking in the clerk had her cell on speaker and there was a gentleman speaking Chinese to her. I’m presuming he gave her heck hence why I was demanded to leave the room.||The room was so disgusting that you’d have to pay me and my dogs to stay there.||Do yourself a favor and drive 10mins to Hythe. Beautiful hotel with amazing staff and they only charged me half price for the room after I told them about my horrific experience at the Beaverlodge Motor Inn.||Never Again and I’ll be sure to tell everyone what a scuzzy run and operated...

I'll start with the walk in. The lady at the desk wasn't very pleasant at all. When my office screwed up and didn't book the room for two night and only one, I said I would need it for two. She said very rudely that "it's a hotel and rooms get rented and I have to give notice you know"||If there was a better choice of places I would have made that choice right then and there. ||The building is very dated and the room stunk and I mean everything including the shower curtain. When I opened the curtains to the window I saw mold around the window and the outside was the other part of the building and seemed to be maybe ten feet away. Great view of a wall. ||Could hear everything which is to be expected of an old place like that. ||My recommendation is to stay in another town. ||On a brighter side, the restaurant (the wall I was looking at) was right there.
