ย ย ย Read moreWe were very excited to try this new restaurant for my birthday breakfast. These lovely folks have taken over the old Soups location, and it seems to be fairly popular for this teeny town with a few tables full on a weekday morning the week after Christmas.
The breakfast "sandwich" was a hit with my teenager. It comes in a wrap that seems simlar to a crepe. My husband had an omlette that he enjoyed, and I have definitely had worse hashbrowns. My eggs benedict, however, could use some improvements. The hollandaise was quite bland, the eggs a bit too runny, and the ham is an inexpensive type of pressed-together machine processed meat amalgamation that was full of tiny bits of bone. Pretty disgusting and completely ruined an otherwise passable breakfast.
The staff were friendly and attentive, if a touch scattered, but I believe the one lady was new, and they didn't seem to have expected so many guests on a Wednesday morning. I would love to come back and try some of the other items...
ย ย ย Read moreLove the small town feel. Cozy diner. Clean bathroom! I really liked the coffee maker being in the dining area. Made it easy to top off coffee without waiting for the waitress. Waitress didn't tell us what the daily soup was, and that would have been nice. I enjoy walking into a small town diner and being greeted with specials and daily soup as you sit down. I did NOT enjoy the wait for food. Nearly an HOUR wait to eat! I was close to walking out. The food was good. Portion size was perfect ๐. The cook makes amazingly perfect pouched eggs. Food is priced competitively, but still more than other diners I've been to. I will return as I always like to give a...
