Nothing better than a short 1km round trip walk to a beautiful small falls on a sunny day from the parking lot entrance. If you drive the end of the parking lot which is mostly empty on week days during the spring your walk is about 100m round trip to see the falls but but you miss the beautiful walk along the river leading up to falls down stream. Unfortunately in the spring the hungry bears are coming out of hibernation so the 4-5km trail up to Prairie Mountain was closed because of a bear encounter. The trail head is just across from the entrance to the park . We will do that hike another time.

Very short but a totally worth hike, its not stroller or wheelchair accessible bit easy enough for kids to do. There are amazing view points of the fall and amazing picture spot. Parking is free, but you do need Kananaskis annual or day use park pass Kananaskis day use is about 15$ and annual is 95$ but totally worth it. Overall highly recommend this short hike check out attached images & videos & follow for more.

This destination is very special to me as I have been enjoying this area since the early 60's when my father, and sometimes my mother and brother would accompany us. This beautiful place is incredible. It gets very busy, especially on the weekends. We always try to get out during the week when possible. If it is busy don't worry, you are able to find many other great places within a short drive from here!!
