Just stayed here for 3 days with our family and had a great time. We’ve been driving by here for years on our way to Osyoosoos without realizing what we where missing. Now that we have 3 kids it’s the perfect distance from home. Very clean and tidy, and family friendly. The private little beach is amazing and why you stay here. It’s a small site so even if full it’s never very busy. The only negative I saw is the proximity to the road, but with the slope of the land we didn’t find it a bother, as it isn’t very busy at night anyways. Can’t wait to go back we made reservations for another stay when we departed!!

Omg, I LOVED this little gem 💎. Right on the river! Laundry room clean and cute, bathrooms clean, and they even had DVDS you can borrow to watch. I loved the office, and the gentleman working - I didn't get his name, unfortunately. All kinds of goodies to pick from, and the stickers were a hit with my kids. They had "community" areas with fire rings (even though there is a fire ban right now) with cute lounge chairs to relax in. Sandy beach area by the river, which was cold but refreshing! I would absolutely LIVE there. Good job, folks, this place is " bussin' ", according to my kiddos!!

Our second time staying at this campground, and we’d stay again ! The managers ( owners ? ) are very nice, very helpful, and they really look after the place. Sites are kept very clean, as are the washrooms, garbages etc are emptied regularly, and general upkeep is done daily. Laundry is pretty inexpensive too, which is a huge plus, since any money saved when traveling is a bonus. Nice access to a riverside beach and being dog friendly makes this all even better. Yes, there’s some highway noise, but it calms down at night, and never caused any issues for sleeping. Highly recommend !

Impeccable and perfect. This is really a 4.5/5

We are a class A 36' RV with 3 late teens, a car, and a dog. The kids slept in 2 tents. We stayed for 3 nights during a 2 week loop through BC. Considering how close they are to the highway, being so sharply downhill its very quiet. They are right next to another RV site but there is no comparison to the quality of this site. All the spots are flat, the grass is lush, extra amenities, there are lots of trees and no harsh sun in the morning. The owner cleans every picnic table before you arrive. You will have a hard time finding a place with owners more committed than at Riverhaven.

Pros . you can drive up to the float at various places, but we just did it manually. We an easy path about 6 times for a 15 min float. It was awesome being so low key. We left our cooler at the beach and picked up a beer and went and did it again so many times. Just loved it. . The owners are cool. Cam is a great guy, he walks you to your spot. When I was leaving, he cleared a couple of cars without issue. He's a great guy and extraordinarily helpful . The owners are cool. OK

We enjoyed our time here so much! The owners were so kind and down to earth, and clearly take good care of their campers and the campground. They were gracious toward us when we rolled in late in the evening: Doug came down to our site and showed us our power/water/sewer hookup and told us about the basics of the grounds and even offered to lend us an extension for our power cord if we needed it! They are very dog-friendly and we so appreciated that, also. Bathrooms and showers were clean and fully operational, sites were reasonably level with gravel and well-kept grass surrounding, and they sell ice, firewood, food, and other easy-to-forget items or things that sometimes break and need replacement in the front office (flashlights, sewer hoses, water hoses, etc.) Free fresh coffee too! :) We stayed at Site 11 which is one of the riverfront sites, and the view and sound of the river flowing by was so calming. We saw an adult beaver on the other side of the river as well as a beautiful white-tailed deer, and could quietly observe them in their natural habitat. We saw several fish jump as well. At this time of this year, the water was high and the temperatures unusually low for June; it never got warmer than 15 degrees, whereas Doug told us the last couple years, mid-June has been between 30 and 40 degrees. Our Lab absolutely loved the sandy beach and swimming in the river, and we loved how easy it was to get down to the beach from the campground, as there's a path down that isn't steep or rough at all. The beach is kept totally natural and allowed to change each year with the flow, rise and fall of the river. We also drove down to the small town of Hedley, only about 10-15 minutes down the road from Riverhaven, and really enjoyed the Country Store there. It was great having such a historical and unique place to see so close to the campground. We would absolutely recommend Riverhaven; the location, owners, campground, sites, river and ambience is truly...

Stayed here last week in rv with wife and 3 adult children (family get together). Originally planned 1 night en route stop but stayed for 2 as it was the lovliest RV site I have been to. The owners Cameron and Shirley bought it 3 years ago so please disregard any earlier reviews.... Cameron keeps this place IMMACULATELY tidy. He is admittedly OCD about it but still relaxed....he taught us how to throw horse shoes and we really chewed up his turf with wild throws but he just seemed happy that we were happy. On our final morning Cam's brother Bob drove us down to Hedly to a community breakfast fundraiser and showed us around the place...very 'interesting' and much enjoyed by all....then drove us back again....no charge. Lovely location close to river....games room....Sorry cameron I forgot to tell you that the blower on the (free to use) air hockey, is quite weak and may need some maintenance, shove penny board pool table (free although not totally level), table tennis board games etc. Showers are super clean and hot. Location by river is beautiful. Due to high spring melt water the 'beach' was covered by raging water but apparently you can tube here and get picked up downstream. Cam and Bob were really helpful with wooden blocks to level our RV on arrival, even though the parking spots are pretty level anyway and even gave me a couple of free toilet freshner packs...the blue stuff. They keep all the picnic tables clean and covered with tarps and only remove those (AND re clean the tables) once guests arrive. They have also built wooden shelves that fit over the tables so you can sit a bbq on your tables If we ever RV in Canada again I will definately try to include riverhaven in our itinerary. It was the BEST RV site we found anywhere in Canada UK or New Zealand. Thank you Cameron Bob and Shirley From Iain, Cathy, Andrew,...
