Broad Cove Campground — Hotel in Cape Breton Highlands National Park

We stayed here for 2 nights in one of the oTentiks. It was a first-time experience camping in this and it was amazing! It is equipped to fit 6 people (1 queen bed at the top, and 4 singles at the bottom) and has ample of space inside. There was a sturdy wooden table with 4 chairs and a bench. Outside there was a charcoal grill (on the porch), 2 adirondack chairs (also on the porch), a picnic table, and a fire pit.

The washroom is the same place as where the showers are. There were 2 showers and were very clean.

At night, the sky was very clear when we were there. We got lucky that it wasn’t cloudy so that we were able to star gaze.

We had a great experience at this campground. Upon arrival, the staff were very friendly and helpful in directing us to our site. They had firewood available for purchase for $8.50 a bag. It looks like the tent loops are much more private than the RV sections of the park. We had a tent site that was very private and big. The sites included a picnic table, room to park one vehicle, and most included a fire pit (not all do, though, so make sure to check before booking your site). The bathrooms were cleaned frequently and had free hot showers. They also have dishwashing stations throughout the campground. I've been camping at this campground for over 25 years and the thing I love the most about it is it hardly ever changes! It's like my second home, I even have my favorite lot that I've been camping at for many years. It's a place I can go to if I want to forget about the crazy world and go back to the past when I was a teenager and young adult and everything is still the same as it was. There are plenty of trees, the lots are fairly grassy and even and there's a beach within walking distance. I also like how your neighbors are not right on top of you like it is at some campgrounds.
