We had a great experience at this campground. Upon arrival, the staff were very friendly and helpful in directing us to our site. They had firewood available for purchase for $8.50 a bag. It looks like the tent loops are much more private than the RV sections of the park. We had a tent site that was very private and big. The sites included a picnic table, room to park one vehicle, and most included a fire pit (not all do, though, so make sure to check before booking your site). The bathrooms were cleaned frequently and had free hot showers. They also have dishwashing stations throughout the campground. There is a small beach a short walk/drive away, depending where you are in the campground. We enjoyed hearing the waves crashing against the shore at night. We loved our stay here and we would definitely return.

Ask campgrounds go we were very disappointed. It's pretty wide open with very few trees. Electric gas and sewer are at each site but you are right next to your neighbor. No separation of campsites. There's a washroom with showers. Two showers on each side but they are very small. Bathroom and showers were clean. Place is neat. It's a long way from the skyline Trail and other things over on the west side of the cape. Best recommendation is to go eat at the chowder House. Just north of the entrance along the coast there are several nice spots for catching the sunrise. Depending on how long you were going to visit Cape Breton Park I would recommend splitting time between this side and the west side evenly.

We have traveled to this campground every summer for the last 4 years. Our kids absolutely love it. There is a great selection of private campsites with firepits and the works. We love hearing the waves crash onto the beach at night. The campground beach is one of a kind, offering both ocean and freshwater at the same spot. During normal times before COVID came along and messed everything up, there are numerous activities for the kids to do interesting for parents too! This is BY FAR the BEST campground in the whole Cabot Trail. Look for campsites 107, 99, 134,136.

We stayed here for 2 nights in one of the oTentiks. It was a first-time experience camping in this and it was amazing! It is equipped to fit 6 people (1 queen bed at the top, and 4 singles at the bottom) and has ample of space inside. There was a sturdy wooden table with 4 chairs and a bench. Outside there was a charcoal grill (on the porch), 2 adirondack chairs (also on the porch), a picnic table, and a fire pit.

The washroom is the same place as where the showers are. There were 2 showers and were very clean.

At night, the sky was very clear when we were there. We got lucky that it wasn’t cloudy so that we were able to star gaze.

It was overall a good experience staying here, definitely would recommend this kind of camping to others especially those who want to experience camping without the...

I've been camping at this campground for over 25 years and the thing I love the most about it is it hardly ever changes! It's like my second home, I even have my favorite lot that I've been camping at for many years. It's a place I can go to if I want to forget about the crazy world and go back to the past when I was a teenager and young adult and everything is still the same as it was. There are plenty of trees, the lots are fairly grassy and even and there's a beach within walking distance. I also like how your neighbors are not right on top of you like it is at some campgrounds. I won't go to any other campground in the area. This is always the one I go to! Everything I need is there including clean bathrooms...
