We stayed in July 2015 in the Queen room of the lodge during a family wedding.||The lodge is located minutes from the main beach of Providence Bay, but far enough that you feel like you are in your own private world.||Breakfast is included each day, and it's not an average 'piece of dry toast and tepid coffee' breakfast - it's practically a full-on meal served on a cute trolley! (Eggs, porridge, toast, muffins, juice, milk, fruit, coffee and tea, and herbal tea for those of us that are not coffee-goers.) Each room has it's own separate entrance, and it's own separate water closet, and it's own outside seating area.||There's also access to the owners' massive BBQ with use of dishes and communal outside shaded eating area to relax and enjoy the breeze.||The owners (Ken & Jean Pearce) are from Britian if we recall correctly; Jean was with whom we booked, and Ken was the on-hand while there. Sweet and friendly both. You can keep to yourselves or mingle with the owners to your heart's content during your stay.||We are looking forward to...
Read moreWe stayed at the Queen Patio Suite (Garden View). Upon driving in, we only saw tall bushes and it seemed kind of run down but changed our minds once we checked in. A friendly gentleman greeted us and banter with us. He showed our room and provided excellent advice on where to eat. The room itself is very well maintained and clean. We were very pleased coming back to a very clean room each day. They rolled our breakfast in a cart in the morning. The only thing to be mindful is there is NO AC but there is a ceiling fan and we felt safe enough to sleep with the screen door and windows open. There is a bird feeder in front of our entrance and we saw an assortment of birds coming everyday. The location is very close (5 mins drive) to Providence Bay! It is 30 mins to Saucer and Cup trail or Gore Bay since the b&b is located the south tip of...
Read moreMy husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in August 2016. We stayed in the Tudor suite which was very clean. The decor is tired but the setting and owners totally make up for this. |It has a living room with tv (tv doesn't give channels but a range of DVDs) there is wifi which was great, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. The bed is the most comfortable I've ever slept on. It was amazing. |It was hot and there was no no air con or fan and small windows but we could leave them open and let the air in. |Jean and Ken the owners were so lovely and accommodating - really great hosts. |Don't stay here if you want all the mod cons but do stay if you want a lovely rural location and friendly hosts. Lovely continental breakfast in a...
