Algonquin Pines Campground is an excellent spot if you’re looking for a comfortable and well-maintained base near Algonquin Park. From the moment we arrived, it was clear how much care goes into keeping the grounds and facilities in top shape. Everything was clean, organized, and thoughtfully laid out, which made our stay stress-free and enjoyable. The facilities here are truly impressive for a campground. The washrooms and showers were spotless, modern, and far better than what you usually find in many campgrounds. It’s clear they put effort into keeping everything fresh and hygienic, which really makes a difference, especially if you’re staying multiple days. The convenience of having everything right on site—from water access to well-marked areas for different types of campers—made the experience smooth and easy. The grounds themselves are beautiful, with well-kept sites that offer both space and a sense of privacy. Whether you’re in a tent, trailer, or RV, there’s plenty of room and the sites don’t feel cramped. The layout makes it easy to relax, enjoy nature, and still have the amenities you need close at hand. What really stood out to me was how family-friendly and welcoming the atmosphere was. It’s the perfect balance between being close to the outdoors and still having the comfort of great facilities. The location is also ideal—close enough to Algonquin Park to make day trips super easy, but with all the conveniences of a private campground. Overall, Algonquin Pines is one of the best campgrounds I’ve stayed at in Ontario. It combines the beauty of Muskoka and Algonquin with the kind of modern amenities that make camping more enjoyable for everyone. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, and well-run campground in the area.

Greatest campsites nestled amongst tall Pine trees. Many different options, pull thru sites, tenting, glamping and a cabin. Beautiful setting . Super friendly staff. Nice clean washrooms. Quiet campground that is dog friendly. Almost don’t want to give it a five star because I don’t want people to know about it.😁. Close to lots of little local places to eat and grab a bite incl chip truck, cookhouse, groceries, and bakery. Dwight beach is a quaint nice little sandy beach with beautiful warm water on the Lake of Bays. Just a short drive to Huntsville. Lots of things to do in the area, hiking, golfing, biking, tree top trekking. Algonquin Park is just up the road for a day canoe trip. We look forward to our yearly trip to this campground.

These new owners have been amazing! Michelle and Chance are superb hosts and aim to please. My husband contacted the camp while it was under the previous owner and it was a less than pleasant experience. However, unknowingly I contacted the same camp last year to book a seasonal site and immediately felt comfortable and at ease with booking a site unseen for the 2020 season. Once we arrived Michelle, Chance and Family gave us a warm welcome and would check in on us periodically as they toured they're property to ask if there was anything we needed! What Service! This is a gem of a park and I'd highly recomend booking with them. Michelle will answer any questions and is always quick to reply!

We had just got there the family were a mixed family. We’re excited the kids me myself i have 4 they were so excited we signed in saw our camp site and started cooking the kids wanted music so we were playing it they were dancing it was cute. Maybe about only after setting up the owner came to us very VERY (i cannot understate this) very aggressively he said so we just got a noise complaint. Then said can you turn down the music or do you want me to turn it down for you?! While they were reaching into their pocket to turn it down he was like charging over to the speaker where we said “ya were turning it down” this is all in front of all our children. We were all stunned he said we told you no noise. We tried to tell him we were told no noise after 10pm which it stated on their flier he said “you cant pretend you dont know what im talking about” when no one after we talking had any idea of what he was talking about. He said “we dont like people like you coming here doing drugs and drinking” none of which we were doing and we do not do. Honestly just a christian muslim mixed family. Ive never been in trouble nor accused so falsely. We tried to tell him were not doing those things were not the type of people he is speaking of. He said “one more complaint even if its on the middle of the night ill send you packing” then he charged off. We didn’t address him violently or aggressively nor did we contradict the fact the noise was a bit loud cause our kids were having a little dance party. We didn't know this was the owner that time. We went to the office to file a complaint. Then we learned from the manager who was very kind actually (this is why i myself have put 2 stars). the man who addressed us was in fact the owner. We told the manager we have no problem with the rules or any issues were just there for the kids even myself having just a baby a 2 months. Were just young families. The nice manager said he could give us our money back and we can leave and it had only been an hour so we were looking for another camp site but were already set up and the time it took to pitch the tents and were already cooking it would be so difficult. All the rest of the day i was stressed i didn't enjoy it at all cause i do have small kids who can be loud they are excited to see their cousins. And i myself i don't know about the others was so nervous about another complaint if the kids got to loud i even called the manager again with my concerns and he said if we got another complaint they would come over instead of what the owner was saying about kicking us out. The rest of the night i spent really stressed telling the kids while they play to be quiet and not make to much noise. Instead of fun it was stressful and the kids not as fun putting a damper on them to having to keep so quiet because kids will be kids. I even made my kids to go to bed early cause i didn’t want no issues again. In the morning had breakfast packed up everything threw the garbage in the bins provided and left. I myself, i was so happy to go home. I feel really sad about this experience seeing as how happy i was going there and such a different mood after leaving. It was my sons 2 months birthday we celebrate every month in our family till the baby is 1 year. Im just happy. He will not remember it.

Due to the continued lie and response to my rating i have updated this to 1 star cause theres no accountability on the owners part of...

We were excited to come see this campground as friends of ours had come in the past, but had never really liked the previous owners. They had heard that the campground was under new ownership, so we decided to check it out. There were 8 sites booked by our group. Upon check in, we were given a map and were shown our site as well as the washroom facilities. We got to our site which was supposed to be a pull through, large enough to accommodate a 32’ travel trailer. It took 20 min of backing up and pulling forward, so we could get into the too narrow site. It also made it difficult to maneuver due to a small pine tree with branches entering too far over that were going to scratch our truck. Once we finally got settled, things were looking up. We arrived on a Wednesday late afternoon. The sites don’t have septic hook ups, but they offer pump outs. By Friday evening our grey water was full. Saturday morning, my husband went first thing to request a pump out, and was told that the policy is they don’t do pump outs on weekends. The only other option was to pull the camper to the dump site near the entrance of the park. Anyone that has ever camped, knows this is ridiculous to ask a camper to pack everything up so we can dump our grey water! I was upset by the owners response, so I went to the office to ask again. I was curtly told that it had been the policy since they bought the camp ( in Mar). I explained that no policy was told to us or is it posted anywhere. That due to their poor communication of policy, they should make an exception and pump us out. He went on to say that it was a safety issue, because there are more children on the grounds on weekends and the tractor (which has a PTO shaft) draws the attentions of the children. I agree this can be a concern, however, if there is an adult watching the tractor PTO shaft while the pump out is being done, there should be no issue. I am disappointed with the owners response and lack of customer care. They should have done whatever necessary to correct the lack of communication on their part and make this right. The group that we were with were all shocked that the owner left us in...
