Nice place, pretty standard design but clean and functional. Pleasant option of all-day tea and coffee in the lobby. Front desk service was great - the ladies I dealt with were very nice and helpful by calling for a cab and to a restaurant (keep in mind that in Quebec you might run into businesses not comfortably speaking english). I didn't end up using the fitness facilities but there's a gym and a pool available to vaccinated patrons. The reason I'm giving this experience only 4 stars is the breakfast. While it is included with your stay and there's hot food available, it is so basic that I was left dissapointed. Quebec is known for taking food quality and variery seriously, which is very chatacteristic of the French culture but the breakfast at this hotel was very unappealing. Don't let this deter you from considering a stay here, however, but if you take what you eat as seriously as I do, my advice is to skip the breakfast altogether and go for some nice place or DYI option. The last point is that the hotel is bit away from the city centre but the price of stay is much more economical compared to other hotels closer to downtown. A ride to downtown takes about 15 minutes and a cab ride will cost you $25-$30 - both considering there's no...
Read moreBooked this hotel nearly two months in advance and also requested an early check-in. The location is excellent—about a 15-minute drive to both Place Royale and Montmorency Falls. The breakfast spread was good, with plenty of options, and the hotel offers ample free parking, which is a definite plus. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and of decent size, making for a comfortable stay overall.
However, the check-in experience was disappointing. We had called ahead to request early check-in for at least one of our three rooms, but were told all rooms were occupied. When we arrived at 2:45 PM—just 15 minutes before the official check-in time—we were asked to wait in the lounge and were told someone would call us when our rooms were ready. We were a group of eight, visibly tired after traveling, yet no one followed up. To make things worse, we saw other guests who arrived after us being checked in before us, which was frustrating. It felt disorganized and unlike the smooth service I’ve experienced at other Hilton properties. The whole check-in process ended up taking about 15–20 minutes.
Aside from that, our stay was comfortable and the hotel itself met our...
Read moreThis is a popular place for tour groups who stay here in busses then travel either to Quebec City or are on cruise ships so they have a lot of people which can make checking in and out and meals a bit challenging. The staff here are excellent. They have great customer service skills and work hard to cater to guests. We would give it higher rating but the rooms were not very quiet and unfortunately we had kids above us that made a lot of noise and there is not much that the hotel can do about that. There is plenty of parking, but it’s best to take a taxi into Quebec City because parking in the city is a problem. Expect to pay about 50 Canadian dollars for a taxi each way, the hotel will call one for you. Uber is more expensive. The rooms were clean and up to Hilton standards. Dont expect to eat close to the hotel because it’s not close to restaurants but Pizza Hut and there is no microwave in the room. But restaurants in Quebec City are fantastic. The room rates are lower in Beauport than in the city, but you will have to pay for a taxi in and out of the city. We had tough time getting taxi back to hotel so factor this into...
