Awful experience – please read before booking! I booked this place through a third-party app, and during check-in, I was told I had paid for a motel rate, something that was never made clear during the booking process. The staff tried to justify it by saying that some apps explain this, but I checked multiple platforms (Expedia, Booking.com, etc.), and none of them clearly stated this distinction. I even spoke to another guest who paid a similar rate—around $140 per night—and had no idea either. It felt like I was just randomly assigned to the motel section without fair notice. After checking in, I was sent to their motel location, which was a terrible experience. The rooms were small, cheaply constructed, and felt more like makeshift shelters. You could hear everything—noise from the roads, other guests, and more. The area felt unsafe, with minimal security. Honestly, I would’ve felt safer sleeping in a tent on the street. The room was freezing due to poor construction, and the overall environment made me extremely uncomfortable. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Transparency and basic comfort are the least you expect when paying over $130 per night and sadly, this place delivered neither. After we stay at a Days in hotel and paid the same $140 and were given a better experience that's this. I wasn't expecting hilton quality but something decent for that price .

After a rainy day spent driving up and down steep slopes of the TransCanada through New Brunswick, then into Quebec in the dark, where I have difficulty reading signs quickly enough to select an exit, it was with genuine relief I finally saw the EconoLodge sign. This EconoLodge was no exception to the rule I've found where they are reasonably priced, comfortably outfitted with quality fittings and linens, at an affordable price. The bilingual desk clerk was very helpful as my French is rudimentary at best despite all efforts to learn it. Covid protocols were nicely in place, and even the continental breakfast was served in such a way you could return to your room, or enjoy brown-bagging it on the road for an earlier start. The bed, pillows and linens were very comfortable. The large and immaculate shower was appreciated.

This hotel offers an excellent experience! The rooms are spacious, clean, and beautifully designed, with a modern yet cozy atmosphere. The bed is soft and comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to help. The breakfast has a wide variety of options and tastes delicious. The location is perfect, with convenient transportation and plenty of restaurants and attractions nearby. Overall, it’s a great value for the price. I will definitely stay here again next time! Highly recommended!

Disgusting experience. When we arrived the toilet was not cleaned and someone left their waste inside toilet seat which my wife discovered when decided to use a toilet. Keeping in mind that we traveled for Quebec Winter Festival for birthday of my wife, that was bad start. I asked he lady in reception to take care of this problem. She said in front of 5 other clients in line that she is alone in the hotel for the night and can't help at the moment (1 person for 70 rooms hotel???l. I asked for another room which she rejected as hotel is fully booked. The she said she will try to talk to Manager and resolve the problem. Meanwhile we had to use public washroom in the lobby and refuse idea of taking shower after 8 hrs trip from Toronto. We went to the city instead and after 3.5 hrs our son called us and said till now nobody sorted the problem. I called to reception and catched some manager named Alexandra who told me she came from her kids to sort my problem. She said that reception lady (who was doing laundry when we arrived) will clean our washroom (so she turned out to be janitorial as well?). She kept repeating how much she sacrificed to come to sort my problem and was not much interested to listen to our problems. So finally our washroom was cleaned after 4 hours since we arrived by non professional cleaner. We had to sanitize it ourselves. Nothing was done to easr our bad feelings and we were offered nothing for all those inconveniences. Full ignorance. Are we likely to stay in this hotel...

We had reserved a room with two beds. We were told that we had to pay additional $15/- per day for the third person / my son When we arrived at the hotel after a long drive from Brampton, Ontario. We arrived at the hotel at approx 9 pm and were tired. The way in which we were told was not very professional. The large sized lady at the reception said that were paying still a lower price and that the cost of the room was higher. Working for the bank we had promotions and that cannot be be my fault for charging me a cooperate rate. When I reserved the room they should have mentioned and changed me the additional $15/-. This additional charge was not a factor when we stayed at the other hotels booked under choice hotels. We were in no position to argue after the long journey but it did leave a bad taste for us.we stayed two nights / the rest of the staff were kind. we wanted to have some info for visit to Old Quebec city, and was told that we could buy a map from the reception. Tourism information in Quebec was where they should have directed us to instead of trying to sell us a map. The hotel housekeeping and breakfast...
