Expected something grand for price and pictures as well as name of hotel. This is more like a motel. Our room was placed on the ground floor and we were not informed that the hotel was hosting sports teams for a tournament, despite booking a month in advance. Kids were running around the hallways and outside in the parking lot. We were not able to locate the front desk and had to call the owner/manager. He informed us that there is no reception and you have to let yourself in with a code. I asked to speak to him personally and he showed up holding a cat. Not a professional look at all for a hotel manager. I told him we no longer wished to stay as we had been driving 12 hours and needed sleep before heading out on the road early next morning and with the noise level in the building it was not conducive to sleep. He refused to cancel our reservation and did not apologize for the tournament teams. He basically shrugged and left. ||||When we got in our room I saw that there was only one double bed. I had expected two beds for 1 adult and 2 teenagers. I called him again and it took 3 tries before he picked up the phone. He said we had a pullout couch instead of a second bed. I asked him if the bed was made up and he told me to make it myself with bedding from the closet. Very uncomfortable night for my son on that couch. In addition, when the couch was pulled out you there was no room to walk between the bed and the pullout.||The noise in the parking lot and kids running in the hallways was unacceptable. This building is older and not soundproof whatsoever. Slept very poorly!||||For the price, almost $200 for the night, there are no services and very poor customer service. We stayed at several hotels on our trip and this was one of the worst. Would not recommend...
Read moreI was here with family to find a point between Corner Brook and Gros Morne Park. We had booked the large 4 bedroom condo. The days we were there, the temperature was warm and very humid. The few fans were not enough to have a comfortable sleep at night. We had to open the windows to let air flow but had to endure the sound of traffic from the highway. There was no win to the situation but it was for 2 nights only. ||This is probably a good place to stay during the cooler times of the year. It is perfect as a ski resort. There is some updating needed but most important is that they need to add air conditioners if they want people to be comfortable during the hot summer stays. The climate in Nfld is getting a lot warmer than what I can recall growing up. ||At checkout, I had relayed this with the manager at the front desk. I wish I had a better stay to review but this was the experience. He did acknowledge that there is a need to add air conditioning units to the resort. For now, only the office of the resort has air...
Read moreI ended up deleting the review that I ended up on this page because when I wrote it, I was not the right frame of mind, I was upset and wrote it on anger, although I did not lie I was asked to move while smoking and than there was another incident that had happened that I called the manager about, he did want anyone would want in this situation. He called and took ownership of the problem, even though it was not within his control he did try, I apologize for typing irrationally. I appreciate the minutes are giving me a call and talking to me and he also accepted my apology which was big of him. This place has...
