My husband and I took their spring offer this April 2+1 night and we had a relaxing stay. We booked a studio bluff room. It was our first time in Kelowna and after taking a scenic drive from Vancouver via Whistler and Merritt which took 9 hrs drive but we saw many wild animals around and beautiful scenery despite cloudy and grey. The resort is located in a quiet area lakefront. Room is spacious and clean I love the kitchen, fully equipped with dishwashing soap the only thing missing is a peeler :) they even have a grater and nice touch of a bottle of white wine. I loved it so on our check out I asked to buy one but Flo from the reception gladly just gave it to us for free!! Karla was very helpful booking us our reservations over the phone. She was patient and courteous as I had a lot of questions being first time in the area. We explored the whole Okanagan lake by driving, drove to Peachland (love it here), Westbank (more action and busier area with shops and great view) wineries such as Frind and Mission ( a must) West Kelowna, Kelowna downtown (its very busy like the usual city. I dont recommend if your goal is to rest and relax) Went all the way up to Vernon, passing by Kalamaka lake (nice drive here as well as in Oyama) and went on a loop down to Fintry and West Kelowna. The hotel staff are very accommodating and helpful. My husband left his laptop charger and they lend us one for the whole stay. I love their hot tub which was hot and big enough, not so busy with guests. Their pool is a decent size and warm enough.. their sauna is convenient and pool towels were abundant. They have bathrobes as well only missing are slippers. We will definitely come back here in the summer when the vineyards are all grown. Its so beautiful in Okanagan, lake and snowcapped hills surround you. Thank you Summerland. On the way back to Vancouver we drove by Naramata (love the vineyards here) then to Oliver and Oosoyos then to Princeton then Hope and Abbotsford Langley. Great 4 days 3...
Read moreCan we give more than 5 stars? Just returned from a 4 night stay at the Summerland waterfront resort, and I can honestly say it was one of the top experiences of my life. We were cared for by Michele, she made sure absolutely everything our hero 6 needed was taken care of, going way above by remembering all of our names, entertaining us with jokes and stories, ensuring every dietary restriction was met, keeping our coffee and snacks stocked up, and putting up with us which couldn't have been easy!
Our meals and snacks were prepared fresh for us every day by Ashley, and she blew the roof off! Perfect 10s across the board. She made us fall off the bone BBQ ribs, a southwest spread, and a Mediterranean feast (and her first time ever making baklava, which was incredibly good, she nailed it!) Lunches and breakfasts were so good, snacks throughout the day were fantastic with so much fresh fruit, salads, fresh baked pastries and breads, and she was so personable with us, making sure our vegan and gluten free team members had delicious foods with variety every day!
The rooms were amazing, geothermal heated floors, full kitchen suite, beautiful patios viewing the lake, luxurious beds and the best pillows ever (which are for sale, we asked!) the conference room was beautifully lit, spacious, quiet, and we were so grateful for how the entire staff treated us. The grounds were spacious with a gorgeous green space that they set up for us with a propane fireplace so we could enjoy time together outdoors.
If you're looking for a private getaway or a corporate retreat, you'll be in the best hands! Thank you...

My recent stay at Summerland Resort was a bit of a mixed experience. While the resort has a lot of potential, a few disappointments made the visit feel somewhat underwhelming.
The biggest letdown was that the heated infinity pool was closed, despite it being winter. One of the draws of a heated pool is being able to enjoy it year-round, so it was frustrating that this key amenity wasn’t available. Additionally, Shaughnessy’s Cove restaurant was also closed, which limited on-site dining options.
That said, our room was absolutely great—clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. It was a wonderful place to relax, and the fantastic staff made our stay even better. The front desk team was especially welcoming and helpful, which was a highlight of our visit.
The only downside inside the room was the outdated in-room entertainment. The TVs and cable boxes could use an upgrade, especially for those looking to unwind indoors during the colder months.
Overall, Summerland Resort has a lot going for it, but the closure of key amenities took away from the experience. With an open heated pool, a functioning restaurant, and some tech updates, it would be an excellent choice for a winter getaway. However, the wonderful staff and great room made the stay enjoyable despite these setbacks. Also the wine that came with the Romance package...
