Canadian Inn — Hotel in Surrey

Update: I left them the same review on their Facebook page and it seems like they have a pattern on how to deal with people who want refunds: they tell them that the manager isn't in the office until Monday. When you call them back on Monday they will tell you that he's not in until Tuesday. You call on Tuesday and they will say that he's not there until Monday.

Whatever you do, don't stay at the Canadian Inn. We had a very poor experience with Canadian Inn. It is very dirty with mold growing in the shower, the fan in the bathroom was half off making me worry that there is a camera in it, and it stinks sooo badly. I can't describe what it smells like but me and my family can agree that it has an underlying smell of piss throughout the building. I had left the sliding balcony door open to ventilate my room as I went out to eat, and when I came back the door was closed! I called the front desk to say that I think that someone was in my room and he immediately answered "that's impossible, no one has been to your floor, I've been watching on our security camera." And my response was "but you don't know which room I'm in!" I ended up hanging up on him because he kept saying that it was impossible that anyone was in my room without even asking why I think someone was in my room. Then he calls me an hour later to say that they checked the cameras and that no one was in my room. After that call I went to put the bolt in the door but the bolt doesn't fit in the hole and so the door can't lock. The motel is in a very poor area and it looks and feels cheap. I've stayed at other motels and hostels that are much nicer, better kept, and better smelling. You're better off sleeping...

This has to be the most pathetic place in Canada to stay the need hearing aid and etiquette classes.i asked for an early check-in and 2 nights stay as I was here on business. I arrived back at the inn at 7pmfor my 2nd night to find out they did not bother calling me and went into the room I rented with an expect8of privacy to be told that they put my things in a storage room and rented it out. I asked to speake with a manager and was told I can come I. The morning. I'm from another province and at 8pm have to find a place to stay . I would never never recommend this place to my worst enemy. The smug attendant behind the counter only could say well you only paid for 1 night. So I said to him I told them at check-in we were leaving Monday morning . I am not responsible for what they charged me as I stated very clearly I was staying till Friday morning when I checked in. So when we went to retrieve our thing from a storage room surprise surprise not all out things were there. They left half our belongings in the room that was rented out again!!!! When ii have taken inventory of what is missing it will be addressed legally for my expectations of privacy and theft of personal property. I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at Canadian Inn and I feel it is necessary to share my honest feedback to help others avoid the same ordeal.

Firstly, the cleanliness of the room was terrible. The floor was visibly dirty, with stains and grime that made me question the last time it had been cleaned. I wouldn't recommend it even for animals, as they deserve better conditions.

The odor and smell coming from the floor were absolutely unbearable. It kept me awake throughout the entire night, and I struggled to get any rest or sleep. It's astounding that a hotel could allow such a terrible environment for its guests.

To add to the disappointment, the price for my stay was $ 350 US dollars considering the disastrous service and deplorable conditions. It's unacceptable to charge so much and provide so little in return.

Furthermore, both the floor and windows were covered in cigarette ashes, which was not only unsightly but also a health hazard. This level of neglect in maintaining basic hygiene standards is inexcusable.

In summary, my stay at Canadian Inn was nothing short of a nightmare. I strongly advise against booking a room at this establishment, as it falls far below even the most basic expectations of a hotel. It's...
