Cedarwood Cove — Hotel in Tofino

Perfection! Where do we start with Cedarwood Cove. CWC was the most special place we have had the honour to stay at. The hosts Michelle, Al and of course the wonderful Koli were beyond welcoming, from before our stay where they offered advice and tips on local things to see and do, to the wonderful warm welcome, lovely conversations and help during our stay (nothing was too much for them). Not to mention the fab walks and paddleboarding experience with Michelle & Al - really made our trip! ||The cabin is perfect. Wonderfully light, but with a lovely cosy feeling and felt very authentic with the perfect amenities. Comfiest bed(!) in the world (no, seriously, we are considering having the same shipped over to the UK!), a great kitchen area with everything you need for a long stay, as well as a beautiful bathroom with heated floor. There are also lovely little touches like beautiful local art from artisans in Tofino and surrounding areas, as well as an abundance of games to play, books to read and the binoculars - perfect for wildlife spotting. A lot of love has gone into CWC and you can tell. ||You wonder how it can get even better until you go outside. There are ample seating spaces, with a large wrap-around decking in the sunshine, as well as a lovely seating area nestled in the trees with a camp fire (perfect for roasting marshmallows of an evening) and a jetty with a view which is picture perfect and hard to believe is real. We sat everyday and had the honour of seeing multiple black bears wander up and down the beach at low tide foraging for food (using binoculars of course) which was a dream come true. As well as spotting all the other wildlife, swans, bald eagles, red squirrels... Oh, and if that wasn't enough, there is a hot tub nestled among the trees by the cabin, perfect for a rainy day soak or warming up in the evening. ||The location is perfect, with bikes included in your stay you can cruise into town, to local eateries or to the beach no problems. ||We couldn't speak more highly of CWC and Michelle, Al and Koli and we would choose to stay here again in a heartbeat. Our time at Cedarwood Cove was exactly what we needed. It was an incredible stay from start to finish. We were welcomed with warm, genuine hospitalityand it was a cozy home away from home. The hosts, Michelle and Al (and we can’t forget Kolli) have created a beautiful that instantly connects you to nature and all the amazing things Tofino has to offer.||The cabin was spotless, and had all you need for a comfortable stay. Decor and attention to detail is beautiful and intentional. The hosts also check in with you regularly to see if there is anything else you need. We enjoyed coffee with a view every morning. The view of the cove was sssooo peaceful. We had so many fav moments but a few of them were our paddle boarding tour/lesson with Al and our dockside salmon dinner thoughtfully prepared and served by Michelle. We highly recommend both activities! ||The cabin comes with binoculars and the wildlife spotting from our deck was epic. We spotted eagles soaring overhead, two bears wandering along the shoreline, grey herons wading in the shallows, and even caught a rare sighting of swans.| |We were sad to leave because we felt like we were saying goodbye to good friends.
