Hotel Quinchamali — Hotel in Chillán

after three times driving past on the main street we finally saw the small hotel sign above the shopping mall entrance and my colleague went inside to find out how to get to the car park at the rear. ||turns out you head down a pedestrian street then into the side of a supermarket car park which was actually quite convenient once found||cheerful lady who spoke good English checked us in and showed us the room which was a bit basic with no ac and a poor quality bed with tiny bathroom which did have a full size bath tub||luckily we were on the shady side in the afternoon and opened our windows to let the breeze cool the air on a very hot day. we left it open overningt and there didn't seem to be a mossie problem||the room did have a safe but no-one seemed to know how to open it. finally after 11pm it was unlocked||not much of a choice of restaurants in the centre of town although the hotel did have a café which was very reasonably priced||we slept well, there was no noise until the following morning and breakfast, in the café opposite, was pretty good||this is more like a hostel than a hotel in my opinion, but the people were very helpful to us and we did...

It is just off a very busy road in the middle of town, so to arrive by car on a Saturday afternoon and find there was nowhere to park was annoying. If they had told me prior to my arrival that I had to park at the shared Unimarc supermarket car park behind the hotel, it would have saved me a lot of hassle. The location if you are going shopping is perfect, but it is not good for evening entertainment unless you like run down bars with crap beer. The hotel itself is a little depressing, the wifi didn't work and the breakfast was not too good. The staff were friendly, hence the 3 points. It's a budget hotel but I still feel it...

Hotel is inside a small mall, but stays open all time. Has a parking lot that leads through a supermarket, which can be handy. The hotel itself seems that it was built a long time ago and a lot of signs show it. The rooms are ok, although the carpet on the floor is a little old. Seems like they are doing a renovation but as the right of this review (early 2019) not much has been done. It's on the middle of the city which can be quite good because you don't really need a car to go around, there is a lot of options nearby. The staff was pretty good and...
