Hostal Ventisquero — Hotel in Cisnes

We felt very welcome and comfortable at Hostal y Cabañas Ventisquero in Puyuhuapi. When we arrived, there was a fire burning in the wood stove so the cabin/apartment was warm despite the chilly rain outside. On request, they also allowed us to use the clothes dryer to dry our wet clothing, which we greatly appreciated. Nothing fancy about this place but a good value for a private 2-bedroom cabin/apartment that sleeps 6. The furnishings were basic but comfortable. The kitchen was small but well appointed. The water was hot and the shower had sufficient pressure. Located about a 25-minute drive by private car to Parque Nacional Queulat and the Ventisquero Colgante (Hanging Glacier Queulat).||Overall, we would recommend this property but it was not without minor downsides: The wifi was sketchy, dropping the signal frequently. The wood stove, while enjoyable as long as you're actively tending it, makes it difficult to control the temperature and it went out overnight so we woke up cold. And finally, the hostal was under renovation when we were there so there was a lot of construction material in the yard that you had to step around.
