DON'T GO THERE. I booked a superior ensuite room and got a windowless room with only a high window to the hallway, which I had to keep open to get fresh air in this depressing room, but than it was very noisy. Nobody from the staff could speak any English, but you can book on international websites. I asked for a map and was told to walk to the tourist information, which was closed on sundays. The internet was off and on for the most time, so had trouble to get things done. The hostel was far away from downtown and on the mountain, so you had to pay CLP 4400 from bus station. In the kitchen, I was only allowed to use the microwave, so it was useless. The next supermarket is 2km away. I got burned in the shower, because water was either boiling hot or cold, but not warm. Read moreAmazing hospitality. We arrived from Santiago by noon and she fed us breakfast with egg (I asked for it) and didn't even charge for it. Next day our flight out was at 8PM, so she didn't enforce checkout and let us stay till we leave for no extra charge.||||She helped with figuring out how to take buses, came with us to the local bus stop to show which bus to take etc.,||||The place is bit far from the Terminal de Buses. You have to either take a bus or collectivo (10min drive) to get here. Collectivo is very frequent.||||View from the hostal balcony is amazing. You lookout to the two snow peaks. It's a full blown super market with everything...
Read moreOne of the most enjoyable hostel stays I've had, Hostel Lagunitas feels more like homestay than your typical hostel. From arrival to departure, the owners of the hostel go the extra mile to ensure your stay is pleasant, comfortable and never lacking. Service is above Veronika, the lady running the hostel even rushed to take out coats as we were walking in from the rain, then proceeded to pop them into the dryer. ||||Beds are comfortable enough and the hot water is a joy. While breakfast was just bread, jam and coffee or tea, the warm and attentive service we received from the hosts, who rushed to serve us breakfast, more than...
