Lodge del Maipo — Hotel in San José de Maipo

Friendly family run accommodation. Close to town but very quiet and peaceful. Lots of bird life, hawks and doves came to visit. Nice little pool to cool off in summer afternoon. Surrounded by breathtaking mountains, it's a little bit of paradise. Sunset was amazing, the red glow on the mountains was fantastic. Cabañas were well equipped, just ask for help if you need it for lighting the oven, for example. BBQ justs outside the back, perfect for cooking since the kitchen window is right there! The host, Frank, goes out of his way to help you with anything you need. Very affordable, private and romantic, spacious and clean. Sitting outside on the patio with coffee for sunrise was just great, in the evening we enjoyed a drink and snack before dinner. Super friendly dogs will come visit you if you leave the door open! Wish we were staying longer, and hope to be back...

We stayed for three nights in one of the cabins. The cabin is fully equipped. It's super clean and comfortable. Each cabin has it's own BBQ and terrace/garden. Furthermore, there are seats in the common area. The pool is absolutely amazing with spectacular view. The owners are super nice and welcoming. We went with public transport and the owner gave us a ride from the bus stop. In the direct surroundings are some minimarkets and good restaurants. There are 3 dogs at the property, 2 super pretty collies and 1 tiny teckel that loves some attention and just pays you a visit when you're in the cabin. Really cute. We went for a massage and that was really good as well. From the garden you have a spectacular view on the stars. The whole place is peaceful, relaxing and extremely comfortable. Totally recommended.
