My girlfriend and I booked this hotel after camping for 4 nights in Torres del Paine. We booked a superior room with a lake view as we had heard wonderful things about the position of this hotel and its views of the park and lago grey. We did a lot of research into choosing the best place to finish our trek however the prospect of a room looking out over the lake here trumped the other hotel options in the park. Upon arrival the staff were very helpful and a lovely porter showed us to our room. Our room however, was not what we had booked. Instead of a lake view, we had views of a cluster of trees. Ours was the end room in a block of superior rooms which clearly had unobstructed views of the lake. This was gutting as we were so excited to check out our view. When we asked at the front desk if we could move, we were told that the hotel was full and there was nothing they could do. My girlfriend had to go out of her way to argue that there should be some sort of refund or something they could do to make up for there breach of terms. This seemed alien to them and after waiting for the issue to reach management 2 ours later we were finally offered a $20 bottle of wine.... the room cost $400. We felt pretty helpless during our stay here, and this situation put a serious dampener on our trip to the park. There are some other really cool hotel options in Torres del Paine and it's a great shame we didn't get the chance to go back on our decision. Instead we left feeling pretty cheated. I would advise exploring other options. I've attached a picture of our 'lake view' room.

A marvellous Property! Just impeccable. The property itself is located at the edge of the lake Largo Gray, with iconic views of the Torre del paine and a glacier falling into the lake. The walk from the hotel up to the edge of the lake is the closest I have felt to Mother Nature. All the staff, of this property are courteous and genuinely trying to help. Special remarks for the restaurant team led by Aaron they were courteous, kind and made every meal a joy. The restaurant menu was simple and exceptionally cooked. The salmon, the conker, the home-made ice creams, the vegan brownie, the ceviche everything was done well and the same quality was repeated when ordered multiple times. The rooms are located on two floors. We had the room on second floor with direct view to the lake and torre del paine. It was serene and peaceful. We visited in winters when the occupancy was low and as such, it was like a Christmas wonderland. We will absolutely visit again, hopefully with friends and family. Ps- the glacier cruise by itself is quite nice a short ride into the lake to see the glacier the boat team are professionals trying their best.

This hotel is way better than Hotel Las Torres. The view of the lake and its surroundings are stunning. The rooms are much more modern than I was expecting; their exteriors don't do their interiors justice. And their food is good, something that can't be said for other hotels inside the park. I've stayed at Hotel Las Torres and I can attest that Hotel Lago Grey is infinitely and immeasurably better. More modern, better views, better rooms, and much, much friendlier staff. Yes, Hotel Las Torres is right next to the trailhead for the famed Base Las Torres hike, which is hard to beat. But don't sleep on Hotel Lago Grey. There's a trail right next to the hotel that takes you to the lake/beach, and the trailhead Mirador Ferrier is right down the street. I would stay here again, something I cannot say for Hotel Las Torres. Note: For the most part, wifi only works in the common areas of Hotel Lago Grey, though it works well there. If you stay connected and go back to your room sometimes you can get a signal, but it's very unsteady.

We had a great stay at Hotel Lago Grey. I think for the level of accommodation/service/food, it is the absolute best overall value of the lodges in the park. I would not hesitate to stay here again.||We also visited Explora Lodge, and while the location is great, I can’t see any correlation to the prices they charge. I think Hotel Lago Grey was a much better choice overall for the price.||The location on the Grey lake and near the Grey glacier is quite different than other lodges in the park, but the views are just as fantastic and you must do the boat tour of the Grey glacier.||We found the service from everyone to be excellent- restaurant, front desk etc. Diego and Catalina at the front desk were very kind and very helpful in every possible way.||We ended up with a flat tire one morning and only had a small temporary spare which would not be adequate for the roads in the park. We were concerned this was going to be a huge hiccup for us, but Catalina (front desk) arranged for the hotel maintenance man (Luis) to patch our original tire for us for a small fee- we were so appreciative and it worked wonders.||The food in the restaurant was very good – it is pricey by Chilean standards, but comparable to a typical restaurant in Atlanta, Houston, etc. Naturally, this is a very isolated place and costs for everything run higher as a result.||Rooms were nice and comfortable. I strongly suggest getting a Superior Room with View because the huge picture windows and the views from them are truly stunning- far exceeding our expectations. I could just lay there in bed all day and look at the views over the lake and the peaks. Seeing icebergs on the lake from the room was another unexpected treat.||If possible, try to get a superior room with view on the second level for the best view and to avoid having anyone above your room. The bathroom floors are heated which was nice. ||The only issue was that the water for showers was never more than lukewarm (never hot). This isn’t a big deal in the scheme of things, but after long day hikes in the park, we would have loved to have hot showers instead of slightly warm. It didn’t matter what time of day you took a shower- the water was never more than barely warm. ||But, again, the hotel delivered well on just about everything, and that is especially good given the very isolated environment of the national park.||I would not recommend doing the all-inclusive package because it just isn’t a good value. We were much better off from a pricing perspective doing dinner a la carte and excursions on our own.||One other small thing- we were caught off-guard by not being able to purchase bottles of water at the hotel to take on hikes. No plastic bottled water for sale and I completely understand that because of the park and the environmental issues of trash hauling etc. So, we had to purchase reusable metal water bottles in the gift shop, and that worked out fine. However, had we known in advance about that we would have brought our own reusable bottles or purchased some bottled water in Puerto Natales to bring with us to the park. Not a big deal at all but would have been helpful to...

The location is very exclusive and provides great view and advantage of getting out to the nature early and not travelling back and forth around 3-hour drive to the city. The location is very beautiful and well kept. All the staff were very nice, attentive, spoke good English and helpful with all questions and requests. In winter the rooms were very warm (we even had to lower the heating) including the bathroom that had heated floor and good pressure of hot water. The rooms also were very clean and comfortable with great view to the lake. The food in the restaurant was good with small portions as we like, but for some it could be too small though. The road to the hotel was much better than we expected, in some places just paved without the asphalt, but without big potholes or anything difficult. The parking is big, though it is far from the rooms and the reception, but there is a phone to call for assistance with the luggage. The guys working at the desk with tours were also very helpful. Overall we were happy with the stay and would recommend and come back again!||The WIFI works only in the lobby and the restaurant. We knew about it still we hope the management will look into an option of more affordable (starlink) connectivity to make available in the rooms too. The prices of the hotel are on higher end, but that is what the exclusivity means. The restaurant was also rather expensive, but due to the remoteness of the place and lack of any other options inside the park it was convenient. We bought some snacks and water in the city before we left so we could have some in the room, but beware the room does not have a fridge. The communication before arrival could be better as we were not getting answers to our questions, but could...
