Firstly our welcome was warm and friendly, helpful and courteous. We arrived at ten pm just as the Restaurant was closing. The Staff member found our booking, escorted us to our suite and invited us to eat at the Restaurant if we would like to eat. As we had anticipated their being no food available we had eaten on the bus from Santiago, but we appreciated being at a Hotel where the service ethic was so high. ||Our suite was beautiful. We had glorious views of the lake and volcano from our room and the bathroom was huge, with plentiful hot water. The bed and furniture was comfortable and the room was spotless. We were able to walk to the town centre and to the lake with ease. It was magical!||We found the staff here to be so accommodating and friendly. Sebastian scores a special mention as he is so lovely and such an accomplished chef. He is such a courteous, friendly and unassuming man and he is keen to discuss food, its preparation. His kuchen is to die for. The balance between the apple, nuts and sour cherries is amazing. All the delicious fresh breads and the yummy scrambled eggs with cold meats and cheese with jams at breakfast meant we looked forward to the wonderful spread each day. Our Dinners here were likewise full of flavour and the prices for finely created and divinely cooked meals meant we look forward to returning when we are back in South America. This was an unexpectedly blissful stay. On our day of departure we were welcome to stay and we appreciated this courtesy, too.||The area is beautiful and we absolutely loved it. We received a discount through a tourism company which is...
Read moreWe had booked an Airbnb which was unacceptable, and were delighted to find this hotel. The staff is outstanding - everyone so friendly and helpful. The 70-year-old hotel is charming and has some rooms upstairs as well as newer rooms in the motel part. We stayed in the motel - very private and quiet. Room was spacious, lots of storage, a mini-fridge and good bathroom. The breakfast is insanely good - a beautiful buffet with fresh juices, coffee, yogurt, fruit, fantastic bread, three kinds of kuchen, and eggs cooked to order. The hotel has a lovely setting - well back from a quiet street with plenty of secure parking and a view of the volcano. One minute walk to the boardwalk and 3-minute walk into town and restaurants. The location could not be better. We cannot recommend...
Read moreWe stayed one night on our way back to Santiago, choosing Villarica over Pucon because of proximity to the highway. We were left wishing we had more time there. ||The hotel was nice and friendly feeling. Beds were comfortable and rooms clean. We were in a four-person room that was spacious and comfortable, but my parents two-person room was almost comically cramped in comparison. Breakfast was also good.||The pool was nice and there's a playground across the street as well as paddle boats. The hotel is about two blocks from the beach and Boardwalk area.||The Villarica area has been developed nicely in the past few years. We are anxious to go back and spend time there and we would certainly stay at El...
