My husband and I enjoyed our recent stay here, it’s quite old but had all we needed for a comfortable stay.||Check-in was relatively straight forward and quick. We had some issues with our travel card and the deposit hold (credit not working on the machine) but the staff were lovely and helped us work through that. The gentleman who checked us in spoke perfect English which was a lovely addition. Keep in mind though that there is no set check-in and check-out time, it’s based on 24-hours check-in time!||The room itself was fine for us, it was certainly old and dated but acceptable considering we were out all day and only there to sleep at night. The room was clean and relatively spacious, small complimentary water was provided in the room (replenished daily) when we arrived and there was access to a minibar to purchase (cold and larger waters, soft drink, etc.).||The room had most things needed, complimentary tea and coffee, shower items (shampoo, body wash and body lotion but no conditioner), hair dryer and tv (not that we used it). There are other items available for purchase like shaving kits and the prices for each are listed if you choose to use them.||The bed itself was quite hard, like sleeping on concrete for me, but that’s pretty typical for hotels in China, so not unexpected. The shower itself was alright, I prefer a little more pressure and I personally don’t like showers over baths, but for that type of shower it was actually pretty good. Normally I flood those things completely when there is a shower curtain only rather than a door, but this one was fine provided you put the shower curtain inside the bathtub first!||The wifi also worked well during our stay and was quite fast.||Breakfast was also included in our stay (if not included it looks like it’s RMB 98 per person) and served starting from 6:30am. There are heaps of options to choose from, both western and Chinese offerings. Personally I thought it was a little chaotic and disjointed, but you certainly have a huge range of options so everyone can find something! The hot options included eggs, bacon, sausages, hot chips, rice, steamed buns, tea cake, vegetables, pancakes, fried dough and spring rolls. The cold options included garden salad, vegetables, fruit (watermelon, melon, banana, peach), cereal (all bran, corn flakes, oat clusters), muesli, sliced breads, rolls, yoghurt and pastries. There are also a number of juices and tea and coffee (percolated).||There is an on-site opera theatre (were didn’t get to try it unfortunately) and room service and other key elements that make this feel like a real international hotel.||Overall we had a very pleasant stay without it being an amazing stand-out...

Read moreThis is the most comfortable accommodation experience we have had while traveling in Beijing. Our family of seven booked three rooms for the 18th and 19th through different platforms. When booking, I read reviews that the receptionist’s attitude was not good. On the actual day we checked in, it was around 10:00 in the evening. I arrived after eight o'clock. Mr. Shanlin who received me was very attentive and patient in his service and his attitude was very gentlemanly. In one of them, the order never arrived at the hotel due to the Amap platform. My mobile phone was out of battery and could not be turned on. He quickly helped charge it, carefully checked and proactively contacted the platform. During this period, he took the initiative to help contact me. He was very heartwarming and kind. Special care was taken to calm our guests' emotions and the problem was solved quickly. The room was upgraded for us after we checked in. It was very warm and comfortable. Later when we went out to eat, Mr. Shan also introduced the special barbecue and shabu-shabu food in the alley. After trying it, it was really well-deserved. The most important thing is that I accidentally forgot to make an appointment to see it the next day. If he hadn't reminded me about the tickets for the national flag raising and the Forbidden City, we would have missed everything. Later, he really went out of his way to help me reserve tickets, call for meals, and book a taxi. He really took the initiative to help us. Thank you very much for your sincere service attitude and business philosophy. I will share this accommodation experience with my friends...
