Michaels House Beijing — Hotel in Beijing

WOW! My husband and I stayed at Michael's house/Floral Hotel in November 2019. Before arriving in Beijing, I emailed them for a special request and they went ABOVE AND BEYOND! My request was to ask their help with hosting a small wedding ceremony for me and my husband. They responded right away and were so happy to help. ||||When we arrived to the hotel, I felt like I was arriving at a family members house. Throughout our stay, we had many questions regarding places to eat, shop, and transportation for getting there. They instantly helped with directions and taxis, and even helped us arrange taxi's to get home later in some evenings. Also, our bed was always made and there was always fresh bottled water waiting for us. The lobby is so beautiful, one night my husband and I stayed in with a bottle of wine to enjoy the traditional courtyard.||||For our wedding ceremony, they involved a company who helped with all of the details. We woke up the day of our ceremony to a few camera-men, decorations being put up in the lobby, and a few other people who were coordinating logistics. My husband and I were in awe of the special detail and hard work that everyone was putting into our special day! It was crazy to think that all of this came from just a simple email to their hotel.||||My point is, the staff members really treat you like a family guest in their home. If you have any special requests, do not hesitate to ask them for help. They truly care about their guests and made our Beijing experience absolutely spectacular. We left with tears in our eyes as we said goodbye.||||THANK you Michael's House staff for an unforgettable experience. We hope to visit again soon. Located near the Line 2 metro (Jishuitan Exit A), walk up Xinjiekou Outer Street on the left side of the road until you reach the China Film Cinema Club on Wenhuiyuan Road and take a left along here. Carry on walking until you reach some shops on your left hand side and an alley way on your right with an old Chinese gate above it. Walk down the alleyway and the hotel is in the middle on your left. It's in a residential area however i found it nice to see some of the 'real' Beijing and not just be surrounded by all the tourist attractions. It can be a little difficult at first to find if you don't know where you are going however once you know where it is you won't struggle to find it!||The hotel itself was lovely, tucked away from Beijings busy main streets resulting in a good nights sleep every night i was there. Staff were very friendly the few times i communicated with them other than checking in and out but would always say hello every time i walked past. Free WiFi throughout the premises of the hotel. Ground floor rooms as well as rooms close to reception/the entrance of the hotel which would be convenient for disabled guests. Bed was comfy and 2 bottles of free water were provided daily (the shops i mentioned sell huge bottles of water for cheap if you need more). ||A lot of places in China seem to have an issue with foreign bank cards, however I had no problem paying for my stay using my credit card (Visa Mastercard.) ||Overall i had a wonderful stay here, and should i ever return to Beijing will happily stay again, thank you for a...

We stayed at this place for 5 nights during our trip to Beijing. It was okay, not fantastic but not bad either, so I would say this place is an average.||||Location: ||This place is 10-minute walk from Jishuitan metro station (loop line). It's on the second ring of Beijing city, so it's not exactly in the city center. For us who can walk a lot every day, it's not a problem, but for some people it can probably be problem if they want metro station that is nearby.||||This hotel is quiet and located in residential area. It's nice, but it's quite far from all the nice food places and sightseeing areas.||||Breakfast:||Breakfast was sufficient. No complaint. It was okay spread with toasts, cereal and some warm (western and chinese) food.||||Room:||Room is clean and bathroom is good size. It can be problem at some point because all the rooms are facing the courtyard, that you can hear people very easily from your room and vice versa.||||Staff/Receptionist: They are not very good at English but compared to other, their English is sufficient.||||Laundry:||They provide laundry service that is quite cheap compared to other hotels we've been to.||||Overall: It was an okay stay.
