|I have stayed at several great hotels in Beijing over the last few years but based on the many positive reviews of this Renaissance hotel, I decided to give this hotel a try. I was not disappointed! ||This hotel offers an elegant and warm welcoming and due to my Marriott Bonvoy status, I got a super upgrade to the Executive suite on the 25th floor. It was probably the biggest hotel suite Iāve ever stayed at with splendid views in 3 different directions of the surrounding areas in Beijing. |The king sized bed and shower and bath facilities were very comfortable and clean. The living room with bar facilities were in fact too much for just the two of us, but we enjoyed it none the less. ||The executive lounge on the 24th floor provides a good view and was one of the biggest Iāve experienced in my life with several private sitting sections. As you come to expect of high class hotels in China, there were several Chinese and Western food options and everything was presented very nicely and it all tasted great, especially the smoked salmon and French bread with Swiss cheese. The service of the ladies and young gentlemen at the lounge was exceptional and they spoke English very well. |My only suggestion for the people working at the executive lounge would be to allow for some āsmall talkā to find out about the daily activities/experiences of their returning guests, because we will return here for sure! ||The same can be said of the hotel restaurant on the 4th floor. Here, youāll be impressed by the so many food options and an excellent coffee bar that youāll need at least 4 days to try out all the different dishes, salads, coffees, fruits and pastries on offer as you can only eat so much for breakfast. ||And donāt forget to visit the pool on the 27th floor! Beautiful views and great relaxing experience as the water feels nice and warm. ||Even though it took an almost 2 hour frustrating taxi ride from the Capital airport to arrive at this hotel due to the heavy rush traffic and a stop light that turned green for 30 sec after each 5 min of red, you wonāt regret your stay at this hotel. Next time, I might take the subway to arrive at this hotel as a subway station (Shuangjing on crossing of line 7 and 10) is only a 5 min walk away. Plenty of good and famous restaurants are nearby. Also a big shopping mall R&F is just around the corner.||If you want a relaxing stay with luxurious comfort, this hotel is a fantastic experience (even better than my experience at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Financial district a few years ago but also the Beijing Marriott Northeast Hotel was a really good experience). |I highly recommend this Renaissance Beijing Capital Hotel and wonāt hesitate to book another stay in the future when Iām...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe recently stayed four nights at the Renaissance Beijing Capital Hotel. This is our favorite hotel in Beijing. It is modern and in the Central Business District.||||We have stayed here three times a year on average in the years before the pandemic lockdown. Our last visit was October 2019. This recent visit has been our first in 5+ years.||||The door to the hotel is on the 1st floor, but you take the elevator to the 4th floor to check in. The main lobby is huge and has an art exhibition in place. This is the floor that includes the main restaurant, the onsite Chinese restaurant and an art exhibition.||||We had a room on the 10th floor overlooking the city. The hotel has many higher floors, however they are being renovated five floors at a time. (There are plenty of renovated rooms.)||||The standout feature of our room is the bathroom. It is the central feature of the Iām and has floor to ceiling glass windows. You can relax in your tub, taking in the city skyline. If you find a bathroom with floor to ceiling windows lacking in privacy, a wall switch brings down louvered blinds, creating privacy. There is an excellent amenity kit in the bathroom.||||Certain room categories and tiers of Bonvoy rewards club membership give you access to the Concierge Lounge. This has two benefits. In the evening they, put out a great Dirac of food. They also have wine, beer and cocktails. These, along with soft drinks and coffee are complimentary.||||The lounge is laid out as you would expect, with two and four person tables. They also have three cozy seating areas with sofas and cocktail tables. These three walked areas are ideal for small groups.||||The lounge is on the 37th floor. The views over the city are spectacular. The large gym is also on an upper floor.||||Breakfast is usually available in the lounge, but during our visit it was served in the hotel restaurant on the 4th floor. The breakfast selections are organized in five areas, this includes gourmet coffee, fruit and juice drinks, a bread and cereal section, hot food in the western style and a large Asian hot food area.||||The standout feature was the selection of ten variations on eggs Benedict. Some examples were the Truffle version, the salmon version and the Thai fish cake version. Because of our Bonvoy level, breakfast was included in our rare. We met up with outside guests for breakfast and asked for a separate bill for their meal.||||Are there negatives? The hotel does not have an ATM in the lobby, but there is a large bank branch with a 24 hour cash machine section in the next office tower.||||We are looking forward to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am writing to express my strong dissatisfaction with the service and hardware of the Renaissance Beijing Capital Hotel where I stayed yesterday. ||||In my opinion, the hotel is not up to the standard of Marriott's service, both in terms of hardware and the attitude of the hotel staff. The hotel succeeded in ruining what should have been a wonderful vacation for me due to the poor hardware and the lack of professionalism of the service staff. Here's what happened to me:|| When I checked in, the receptionist didn't offer to greet me and tell me where and when breakfast was served at the hotel. At the same time she gave me a room full of odors that was unbearable in the room and gave me a room that was still full of odors after offering to change rooms.||The most unbearable part was that night when I returned to my room and already got resting, the ceiling of the hotel room started leaking, the floor was wet, and the sudden sound of water scared my girlfriend and me as well. After calling the staff, they simply took care of the situation and did not apologize. The ridiculous thing is that when this happened at 1am, I expressed to the staff that I was scared and he replied that he didn't think I had rested. This unprofessional behaviour made me very angry and I had no expectations of this hotel. See the attached photo for details.||Due to the early morning accident, we got up late and were very tired. We also missed breakfast as the front desk did not tell us the time and place for breakfast. When checking out, I expected someone to explain to me what happened last night, but no. The front desk was cold and sarcastic as if I had done something wrong.||The unprofessional behavior of the hotel completely ruined my vacation and made me question the quality of service provided by the Marriott brand, so I am making a complaint to you. Here are my demands.|| I want an apology from the hotel staff within 24 hours.||The hotel compensate me for 25,000 Marriott points. Providing a comfortable break for customers is a basic requirement of a hotel, and this hotel did not do that and I don't think I need to pay for this night's stay.||No compensation measures such as upgrade entitlements for my next stay will be accepted and I will not go back to such a thoroughly disappointing hotel.||I canāt imagine if the hotel treat a platinum member like this, how will it treat a guest without having any membership status? This is an insult to...
