This is an old hotel, a 15 minutes walk to the nearest metro station. Definitely not a high end area. I was shocked at the state of my room on the 4th floor in my 1st week stay. The lower part of the walls beside the door to the room were mouldy and the wall crumbly and wall paper in tatters on the outside as well as, the inside of the room. I was not sure if the moulds could cause a health issue. The shower area cleanliness needs improvement. The shower head is old and the sprays of water were going at all angles. Taking a shower was infuriating. The receptionists ( except for 2) were unsmiling and unhelpful, even when they were not busy. Only this 2 receptionists helped to call for a taxi or make a reservation to the Beijing museum. The others would ask why I could not use Weixin myself! (In order for short term tourists to install and use Weixin in China, we need a local to verify...
Read moreI stayed 3x at Ruizhao already and will stay again. The location is amazing. It is 10 minutes walking from Guomao (国贸) Central Business District. 7 minutes walking from Shuangjing 双井 Metro Station. 4 or 5 stops from Tiananmen 天安门 Square. I could go on - for someone who lived in Beijing and has many amazing places that likes to visit, this location is just perfect. The hotel itself is pretty good as well. Especially now that they finally decided to remove that 20 years old carpet in the corridor. The rooms are cozy, bed is great. Service is good, too! Deposit of 100元 needed when checking in. They return it immediately upon checking out. No wait time or anything.
Daily cleaning of rooms. Daily refill of bottled water in the room.
Will and would stay again!...
Read moreI spent three weeks in China visiting different cities, and for the last three days, I stayed in Beijing. This was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived, there was no warmth or hospitality—just outright refusal to assist. The staff repeatedly dismissed every request with a blunt ‘No’ without offering alternatives. To make matters worse, I was assigned a room facing the railway tracks, where the constant train noise made it impossible to rest. The entire hotel reeked of stale cigarettes, and the odor in my room was unbearable. When I politely asked to switch rooms, I was met with an immediate and unprofessional ‘No, no!!!’. Due to these intolerable conditions, I had no choice but to cut my stay short and cancel the...
