Some of the experience there was HORRIBLE!!! Don't be fooled by how nice the lobby looks!!! Most of the hotel employees at that hotel are seemingly almost always ONLY in that lobby when on duty, and it shows. Read the rest of this review (or enough of it to skip that hotel) before deciding. I have thankfully stayed at more than 150 hotels around the World (including many hotels in china), so I am obviously VERY qualified to know when a hotel has HORRIBLY bad , corrupt hotel manager employees and other corrupt, hostile employees that should be FIRED!!! Rarely do I write such reviews, but here it is. Including photos of some of the corrupt employees. EVERY manager at that hotel sadly needs to be FIRED TODAY!!! That is honest and blunt TRUTH. Because they and their HORRIBLY bad "management" practices seem to be THE MAIN PROBLEM that has caused the numerous other problems at that hotel. The managers at that hotel were comparable to an airline company buying a decent airplane and then simply putting a random person off the street into a pilot suit and calling them an airline pilot and letting them manage the stewardesses that were also random people hired off the street. Sadly there were days of diarrhea from the unclean food (or unclean tableware or plates and bowls and glasses) from that hotel's restaurant!!! (there was sadly diarrhea from both the breakfast buffet AND when bought a meal from that hotel's restaurant) The employees and managers there were almost always unapologetic and multiple were openly hostile toward THE CUSTOMER, as though the employees had established a mutinous little corrupt cabal in their little employee clubhouse that was the first floor of that hotel. Sadly it seemed rare for ANY of the employees (aside from the cleaning employees) to leave their employee playhouse on the first floor. Sometimes 5 or 6 of the hotel employees would be crowded together behind the front desk seemingly not doing much of anything, while customers upstairs waited HOURS for clean towels to be delivered!!! Most of the problems of that hotel were seemingly mainly because there were too many HORRIBLY crappy hotel employees being negligent of the black mould, and other problems there. Was sometimes such HORRIBLE customer service there, compared to ANY of the other large brands I have resided at in china (and I have stayed at A LOT of hotels in china before). Some customers that only stayed a day or 2 days maybe simply tolerated some of the problems listed here, or didn't noticed them in only a day or two. If corporate offices of Ibis and/or Accorgroup are reading this review: FIRE every hotel manager employee at that hotel TODAY!!! (For the sake of the customers and that hotel company!!!)List of SOME of that hotel's problems: * Numerous hotel employees exhibit poor work ethic, displaying laziness, rudeness, hostility, and incompetence. Disturbingly, some of them have demonstrated these negative attitudes on WeChat and during phone conversations. It is imperative that immediate action be taken, such as terminating their employment without delay. Absolutely necessary! (Although some employees may put on a smile at the front desk, behind the scenes they unleash their hostilities on customers, seemingly deriving satisfaction from their unhappiness, all while evading the watchful eye of the cameras.)* Unfortunately, there were instances of black mold on the walls and near the air conditioning vent (obvious that there was black mould in the ventilation) and that sadly caused coughing that My body is still recovering from weeks later). * Sadly the hotel manager employees were incapable of scheduling room cleanings within a three-hour timeframe, and sometimes they failed to have the room cleaned at all on some days (after waited four hours for them to arrive sometimes!!!). * Sadly many of the hotel rooms there I saw had black marks on the walls, noticeable stains on bed headboards, and large bubbles beneath...
Read moreAVOID that hotel!!! (mainly because sadly there were too many HORRIBLY crappy hotel employees, black mould, and other problems there) WORST customer service of ANY large brand hotel I have resided at in china (and I have stayed at A LOT of hotels in china before). Don't be fooled by how nice the lobby looks. That lobby is where almost all the employees are the entire day and night, because they basically treat the lobby as their employee clubhouse. Sadly there weren't any European managers in a hotel owned by a European company, and the chinese employees are spiteful toward the hotel company (because it's not chinese) and toward customers (because the chinese employees seem to hate the European hotel company and don't want it to succeed, because it's not chinese). Some customers that only stayed a day or 2 days maybe simply tolerated some of the problems listed here, or didn't notice them in only a day or two. If corporate offices of Ibis and/or Accorgroup are reading this review: I am including photos of some of the worst, openly hostile, HORRIBLE, bad employees at that hotel that MUST BE FIRED TODAY!!!! (for the sake of the customers and the hotel company!!!)List of that hotel's cons: 1. Too many of the hotel employees were lazy, rude, hostile, and/or inept. Some of them had HORRIBLY bad attitudes on wechat and on the phone and they SHOULD BE FIRED TODAY!!! ABSOLUTELY!!! (Yes, some smile to the customers' face when at the front desk on camera...but they hurl hostilities at customers and seem to relish customer unhappiness when the employees' can't be seen doing that)2. Black mould on walls sometimes (sadly some mould coated an Oculus Quest that I had in My luggage while there). Including a photo of that also. 3. Food poisoning from that hotel "restaurant" that bizarrely rarely ever had any common foods, such as dark green vegetables. Sadly that food poisoning lasted for numerous days and involved going from bed to bathroom to bed most of those days. Sadly there was also a fever during that food poisoning!!! 4. Sadly the employees and cleaning employee management seem HORRIBLY inept and incapable of specifically scheduling a room cleaning or getting it done within 2 hours. That sadly included not getting towels within 2 hours. 5. Not anywhere near enough lighting in the rooms. And the bathroom mirror is lit from underneath. Why? Only hotel I have ever been to where bathroom sink lighting was under the mirror. 6. That hotel restaurant doesn't stock enough food to be called a "restaurant". 7. Sadly it seems the employees that eat the breakfast buffet leftovers REALLY LIKE extremely SPICY HOT chili peppers food, so they ruin multiple of the main breakfast buffet dishes by stuffing them with very spicy hot chili peppers IN A HUMID CITY IN THE SUMMER!!! Although I am environmentally considerate and don't like to waste food, OBVIOUSLY the employees of a hotel shouldn't be choosing how spicy the customers breakfast buffet is based on what the hotel employees want to eat as leftovers!!! 8. Many of the rooms had black marks on the walls, large stains on bed headboards, large bubbles under wallpaper on walls, etcetera. Basically some corrupt, lazy hotel employees OBVIOUSLY neglected some of the hotel rooms too much. 9. There is a delivery robot...that sounds like a perk, but sadly that means the lazy employees behave lazier and stay on first floor and put customer's unprotected food on the same filthy delivery surface (inside the robot) as they put filthy taobao delivery boxes on. So basically that is similar to getting food that has touched the floor of every filthy taobao delivery trike and truck, and also every * delivery motorbike in dongguan's delivery storage box. 10. Was challenging to get them to do things consistently when they did it properly once. Either they would sometimes complain that doing it properly involved effort or they would fail for...
Read moreAvoid it unless the location is important. First floor lobby and lounge are somewhat misleading. Sadly there are some corrupt employees with VERY bad attitudes. Attached a photo of a HORRIBLY bad, corrupt, HORRIBLY rude hateful cleaning employee (that should have been fired long ago!!!).Sadly waited 2 or 3 hours for ANY cleaning employee to clean on days when told front desk I wanted room cleaned. Also sadly waited HOURS for clean towels to be sent to the room. That was RIDICULOUS!!!If anybody from the Inis corporate office is reading this: 1. Don’t have ONLY female managers at a hotel. Because sadly they are too lenient on bad employees. A male manager probably would have fired that horribly bad cleaning employee long ago. Also, having only female managers shows corrupt gender bias. So customers wonder if a man hired them because he likes women or if a woman hired them because she hates men. 2. When the main usual daytime hotel manager went on vacation, the hotel was messier and the breakfast buffet was corruptly reverted back to hot spicy chili pepper dishes because some mutinous employees said they prefer hot spicy chili pepper food for breakfast in a humid city in the summer. That good daytime manager had attempted some good changes for the hotel, but some other employees seemed mutinously corrupt and attempted to revert the changes she had made. “when the cat was away, the mice played”.3. Get cleaning done QUICKLY when customers request it. Sadly waited 2 or 3 hours for a cleaning employee to clean when requested. Also sadly waited HOURS for clean towels to be sent to the room. That was RIDICULOUS!!!Also make sure any corrupt employees don’t try to treat the hotel as their personal clubhouse. Customers pay the employees’ salaries. Honestly wondered if some of the bad employees weren’t fired yet and some of the other hotel problems were because the hotel is owned by a European company, so maybe somebody chinese doesn’t want the hotel company to succeed. Certainly would explain why that bad cleaning employee was so horribly rude and complained about...
