Shangpin Holiday Inn — Hotel in Guangzhou City

I was booked in this hotel as the other hotel I was booked in was closed for renovation without any notice. this hotel was not listed on trip advisor. With the experience of being stranded at midnight it felt like heaven to me. because of my bad and stressful experience at night I had fallen sick with high fever so don't have much experience of the hotel but it is made very nicely and the manager was very kind to help me with the food, after i told him that I am not well he was kind enough to suggest me a hospital nearby and then he went out of his way to get me the food from mcdonalds as the hotel did not have room service it is a bed and bath kind of hotel. the room was very huge with the big bathroom and also since I was on a wheelchair and independent traveller it was very thoughtful of them to give me a room next to the managers office on that same floor. the lobby is also very beautiful this hotel has a free shuttle service every half an hour in the morning and in the night to and from the Airport. since the two nights I stayed there I was only in the room did not get to explore the area around but would definitely suggest the hotel to friends and if I visit again I would like to go there. the main problem is that no one understands english even the staff did not understand what I was trying to say 2 days about having fever and requiring some medicines but the manager at least understood english so that was good. It is wheelchair friendly but they probably need a slope on the entrance for easy accessibility into the hotel. I spoke to the manager the day I was leaving and I understood that this hotel is not listed in trip advisor I made sure I told him that I would definitely write about it and have it listed.I had asked the manager to call a cab for me in the morning to go to the airport when I came down to clear my bill I saw the shuttle service timings so he suggested me to take the shuttle to the airport. the shuttle driver was very kind to help me get into the small coach and help me with my...

As a Trip.com Diamond tier member, I enjoy great deals ate great hotels......almost everytime. I usually stay at this groups other hotel, and now I remember why. In the pictures you will see the room I booked, and then the room they gave me. The room they gave me was disgusting with seriously damaged walls from something and a smell coming from the bathroom that was terrible. After asking the first night and nothing done, I finally went down and said I want this fixed Now!. After a long back and forth, and me finally saying I would give them a terrible review, they agreed. It was then almost 10 pm on my 2nd night and they wanted me to change rooms then. No, I am not doing that tonight, so they agreed to give me a lower rate if I did 1 more night. Ok, I agreed and stayed. Then when I go to change the room in the morning, it was obvious nobody from the night before told the day staff about this. Then they tried to charge more 40RMB more for the room they agreed at a certain price. I already prepaid on Trip.com. They gave me key to new room and no sooner to get in the room, the phone rings, and the woman is saying Money, Money Money. Be very careful when you check in here and make sure you get...

My first few days were not so good. But I give credit where credit is due. The hotel stepped up and made good on their agreement with me. The room was nice, clean and large like I prefer them and what I booked. The area is great and close to Baiyun airport. Pickup and drop off at airport is good and in very nice SUV's.
