Arro Khampa by Zinc Journey Shangri-la — Hotel in Jiantang

A boutique hotel located at Dukezong Ancient city within ShangriLa. It is closer to the south gate.

The hotel is amazing with an entrance and then a courtyard to access the rooms. Within the courtyard, there is a great view of the Tibetian temple at Yueguang Plaza.

The rooms itself if great, although mine was a bit dark. It had a couch and a telly (which we didn't use), and heat lamp in the shower area.

They served ginger tea as a welcome drink, a nice touch when outside is 0 deg Celsius. Breakfast was simple with a small buffet offering, and if you want noodles, you can order it from the staff.

Location is super. Right in the old town, plentiful shops and restaurants nearby but very "local", not as commercialize. Building is restored from traditional house which has the antique feel with modern facilities.

What touches my heart most is the hospitality from not only one staff but the whole team. One can feel the customer service provided is from the bottom of their hearts - serving their guest wholeheartedly. Willing to go the extra miles to ensure their guests stay is comfortable. And many many more...

And oh ... I must not forget to mention about the inhouse pet - 馒头。A cute handsome doggy who is friendly to everyone.

I stayed at Arro Khampa Shangri-la during a work trip and was staying at the suite on the top floor. It was amazing and although small, it had everything I needed. I didn't eat at the hotel either breakfast of dinner and thus I cannot judge it, but for the hotel and it's associates friendliness it was absolutely amazing.
